I love Harris Teeter but the prices at this location are high! Visited on a Saturday around the 6 PM hour, a very popular time for vacationers checking in for the week!! So the place was busy. What was absolutely crazy??? The checkout line!!!! It wrapped all the way across the checkouts, all the way down before last aisle and then down that aisle almost to the end!!!! Crazy!! Tip.... even if u have a lot of items, go to self checkout! No line and got through in less than 5 minutes!!

New homeowner in Corolla. Called to ask HT if they do propane refills, and the girl who answered was super rude and short, saying, "yeah", and that was it. If you get this question a lot, maybe put it clearly on your website.

Even though this supermarket is beautifully designed it is not staffed. Waiting in a line that wraps around the entire store for 45 minutes is ridiculous. Frozen foods and ice cream melt and nerves become frayed! Why are only 4 cash registers open in the middle if the day? There were many employees throughout the store that could have been at a register. As a tourist, it seems that between the unrelenting traffic and the unbelievable lines in stores, the Outer Banks is in no way prepared for the number of visitors who rent the houses here.

my review is in part to respond to some of the negative comments from previous reviewers. we come to the Currituck Club about 4 times per year (April, June, October and Christmas week) and there is a pattern to the store. in June, the staff try to keep up with the demand and are tireless in restocking shelves - which tend to get cleared on Sundays and Mondays. staffing is lower since the pandemic as many seasonal workers were not able to get Visas, so be patient. things start slowing down at end of September and the stock reflects the reduction of customers. and not surprising, by December and deep off- season, this store is stocking the essentials although you still find great steaks, artisan Romaine lettuce and store baked bread. they also have seasonal flowers and I know I can find Boars Head deli products. if you want a fully stocked store , the HT in Southern Shores is happy to oblige. for me, we appreciate the convenience of our local HT and the staff who make it function.

This seems to be the main grocery store chain in this area of the Outer Banks. To my eyes, it seems pretty good, with a good selection of groceries and some ready to eat or heat and eat items. Main gripe -- understaffed. It seems very hard to flag down someone for help. An example, they didn't have any forks or spoons to take with the ready to eat items. There was no one at the customer service desk, and the cashier nearby said she could help in a few minutes, meanwhile there was a big line. We just left and got by using the plastic knives. I know it wasn't peak summer months, but how about increasing staffing levels a bit.

Before I start this review let me start off by saying that this review is based solely on my opinion and my opinion alone so with that being said let's go!.. This particular location is a bit smaller than your average locations,I'm not sure why but it's conveniently located by the beach houses and the beach so they have all your needs to stock up your beach home or something to just take down to the beach. This is off season so the store is less crowded and easy to maneuver around this time of year.

Not well-stocked. Don't have good bakery selection, and our donuts were stale. Deli area isn't great either. But it's always clean and staff are nice.

A nice setup and clean. Prices are a bit higher here than Food Lion or stores on the mainland. But it is clean and has a Starbucks inside.

Even while short staffed during the off season, the woman running triple duty across the deli, sandwich station, and bakery made the time to write out a custom message on a sheet cake for our friend's birthday. This is exactly why we will always choose Harris Teeter - they truly care for their customers!

I go to this Harris Teeter for the sole purpose of getting Starbucks coffee, there is an employee who works at this location that rarely wears a mask. Please be aware.

I believe this Harris Teeter has forgotten that customers take a risk coming into to do business during COVID 19. As customers we are trying to support local businesses. The kindness of customers is far greater than that of the Harris Teeter staff. In keeping with social distancing, the store has marked the floor with green dots for the second customer in line, which is where I stood and waited. No one said anything to me. The associate at the register said nothing until I was placing my only item on the counter. He then said I am closed after this one, nodding at the customer with her cart and groceries, leaving. Usually a customer with only one item is allowed to go ahead and make the purchase. It is very common and very nice. That was not my experience. The associate was mean to me and I considered him rude. I felt like he discriminated against me. I will not return to this location of Harris Teeter. There is a very nice Fresh Market and Publix not far away. I will go to Fresh Market and Publix from now on. I appreciate every business that is open during these unprecedented times. Thank you to our many essential workers.

It's a grocery store so there's not much to be said about it. They were well stocked and the checkout process was fast despite it being a busy move-in weekend. We did come across some thoroughly rotting produce, which was unfortunate. This location also houses a Starbucks, so you can get your caffeine fix while you shop!

Not a complaint, just wanted to clarify that HT does not have a pharmacy despite Yelp listing that it does.

Whenever we come to our beach house we will almost always have a trip or two to Harris Teeter. This time they had these jumbo prawns on sale and they were delicious.
