Well, the lady was friendly...to her friend! Didn't stop chatting long enough to say hello. We looked around at nothing for half an hour and as we were leaving, she decided to ask where we were from. Nothing to see here. Not even nostalgic

You know those quaint little country stores where everyone who walks in is treated like a guest....This isn't one of them. The feeling is more like you are putting them out. Asking a simple question, and 3 separate people who "work" there told me to ask someone else.
Stop in front, take a picture. And don't waste your time.

I am from Utah, but I viewed your establishment on The Appalachian Channel. Wow, you are doing such a great thing. Be very proud of yourselves and keep it up. Never have visited this place other than online, i still give it 5 stars because this is EXACTLY what this country needs more of! The fact that we don't have more places and mindsets like this place and the family that owns it, is part of why this country is circling the drain.

Wonderful hidden gem up in the hills of Stokes County. Had a great trip up there and loved the general store!! Absolutely try some blackberry preserves and baked goods if you go. Delicious! Will be back soon for some live bluegrass!

Outstanding and one of the original General Stores in North Carolina. They stock just about everything. The family that owns and operates the store, are always professional and extremely helpful. Awesome people.

I rode 3 hours to see this old general store. Wasn't disappointed. And the bologna sandwich was an added bonus to the nostalgic feel.
