“After lukewarm responses from other bike shops (who were simultaneously complaining about too much inventory), I took my one-page resume of bicycling history, wants, needs, etc., to Spirited Cyclist and Derrick Rorrer read it completely. Expecting to immediately be shown bikes, Derrick surprised me by gently asking me several questions to sharpen the info on my page. He then brought me a bike and asked me what I observed about it. When I'd exhausted my list, he offered several other facts to consider. I was ready for a test ride and he, again, surprised me by coming along for the ride. He varied the routes so that I could get used to the bike and its capabilities. He then departed and left me to ride alone. By the time I returned, Derrick had prepared a review of several options within the model class. My bike arrived in 1 week and was waiting for me when I returned from vacation. The staff made a big deal of my purchase and celebrated with me with a fun sign board and shared knowledge of "Nick's New Bike Day." As a retired health care provider, Derrick's approach was so intuitive, interested, empathic, and warm that I was absolutely overwhelmed by his humanity. In a world dominated by the testosterone-fueled shredders of Road, XC, and MTB, the shop's vibe and staff's welcoming attitude are REFRESHING!”
“Marci and Clayton were both SO great with their professional bike help. Marci walked me through buying a Roscoe 8 and I couldn’t be more happy with everything. She answered every big and small question with great skill and friendliness. There was a minor scratch on the paint and she and Clayton made sure I got touch-up paint ASAP. I also had my helmet STOLEN on my first ride and they helped me get a replacement. Clayton was super helpful with me getting a Fox bike shirt. If you go to their store, do yourself a favor and ask for either Marci or Clayton. They’re the best.”
