“Love downtown mooresville. There are tons of restaurants, bars, shops, and so much more. We are always down there for events at the Charles Mack, or getting my wife's ring cleaned down at the jewelry shop, or grabbing a bite at big tinys. So many options and its clean too”

“Being in need is a humbling place to publicly be, for most folks it takes courage to admit they need help and even if they can admit it, it remains difficult to articulate and place in front of someone else no matter how desperate the need. At The Christian Mission, the face of organization that you first encounter, Beth B., could not be better suited for her role. She emanates calm understanding, warm empathy, and executes with clear minded strategy as a fierce advocate for all that walk through the Mission doors. In my personal experience of deep need that brought me to the lowest feeling point of my adult life, I expected to feel less than, and judged; to be subtly denigrated because of my need. Beth's astute understanding and deft ability to read not just what was openly stated, but also the deep underlying subtext of the situation, was welcoming in a way that I absolutely had not expected. Beth has the astounding ability to take a traumatic event and smooth the edges immediately, into a surmountable obstacle, with grace and sincere compassion. She presents executable solutions, both for the emergent issues as well as a solid path forward, that draws hope back into the heart of the person she counsels as the intake specialist. What is arguably one of the most challenging occurrences in life, becomes a moment of merciful grace, that feels like the most profound support and encouragement, you could ever hope to experience, let alone receive in such depth of despair. Beth is uniquely qualified and equipped to not only be the face of The Christian Mission, but she also deeply reflects and exemplifies Jesus to the suffering and hopeless. I am grateful for her cheerful, compassionate, competent spirit and the grace that constitute her consummate professionalism and dedication to her calling.”

“I walked into New Things in downtown Mooresville last week and met the lovely & kind Lauren, the director.

New Things is a nonprofit, mission-based shop supporting artisans in developing countries all around the world. They partner with artisan groups to sell their handmade goods here in the US, sharing about the ministries they’re part of and supporting them through profits. 

Their artisan partners receive more than just a fair wage for their work— they receive healthcare, business and skills training, and learn about the gospel.

PS I fell in love with the patterns on their dresses (apparel) 😍

“This YMCA offers both an indoor and outdoor pool, lake activities, a beautiful gym AND, wait for it…they accept nationwide memberships for all of it! To top that off, they are also welcoming and friendly! I visited this Charlotte-area Y to swim laps after having a not-so-successful swim at another nearby YMCA. I will definitely be back when I’m in Charlotte again visiting my children!”

“This was my first time visiting this specific location. From the moment I stepped foot in the building, I received phenomenal care.I arrived about an hour early for my appointment so I expected to wait; however, they were ready for me immediately. Robin was very helpful during my pre-screening. She asked if I'd be interested in donating Power Red and explained the process clearly. I had been donating for years at other Red Cross locations, but was never asked to donate Power Red. Had I known that was more beneficial for hospitals, I would have made the switch to Power Red years ago. I'm thankful that Robin took the time to answer my questions so I could make an informed decision. I will continue donating Power Red moving forward.After the pre-screening, Lisa started drawing my blood. I was a bit nervous because my last two blood donations had complications. Lisa settled my nerves by making small talk. I enjoyed hearing about her family and it made me feel better knowing she had 20+ years of nursing experience. She found my vein on the first try and everything went smoothly.While I was donating, every single nurse in the room asked how I was doing and checked to see if I needed anything. It was refreshing to see such a friendly group who cared for all the patients, not just the ones assigned to them.Last but not least, I'd like to thank Shay. Shay was responsible for the final process of my blood donation. She saw I was sitting alone and came over to talk about the Power Red process. She explained how it worked and why it was more beneficial than Whole Blood. Shay even scheduled my next appointment for me so I wouldn't have to do it later. I just scanned the QR code and added it to my calendar.There are other blood donation sites closer to my house, but I'll continue driving to this location in the future. Everyone at this site was incredibly friendly and provided excellent care.Thank you to everyone at the Blood Donation Center in Huntersville, NC!”

“Usually quite busy. Always find good stuff. Wish they had more than one bathroom stall and they would sort clothes by size not color. Dressing rooms would be nice too. The shelves tend to be messy but its customers fault I’m sure. Kind staff”

“Mind you, this review is not based on used furniture, appliances, or other household goods. I had gone in with a friend who was looking for used furniture, when I noticed that they had a large selection of used books. Went back by myself and looked through books. Wow! Excellent pricing (way cheaper than online used, you get to actually see condition and no shipping cost.) Bought a handful of hardbacks in excellent condition! My only less than 5 star experience was the the checkout employee who was very nonchalant, but not rude!”

“Drop off was easy. Please be patient as many workers are volunteer and your donations go to help those in need.. Better here than in the landfill or side of the highway. God Bless”
