We stopped briefly at the bee festival (Oct 14) since we had a little one. Great place - we purchased their delicious honey apple spice butter and things from other vendors. Great place to visit. The festival had live music, food, etc so that’s a bonus if you’re in town at that time. We’ll definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

This place is worth the stop!We have been road tripping and when we saw the billboard we thought it might be cool.H.S. greeted us warmly and was very kind. He toured us around, showed us his queen bee in an inside hive. He is very knowledgeable and very passionate about what he does. The place is very cute and clean, including bathrooms. For people local, or just very serious about bees and bee keeping, he does classes! They have a honey tasting bar for honey, vinegar, butters, and sauces. They have everything from bee keeping supplies to honey products to wax products to candies and t-shirts. Prices aren't bad either! There is a decent lot for parking and a beautiful overview with a spot for pictures."Let's create a buzz so others will follow!"

After passing this many many times we finally stopped. Glad we did, definitely worth the short drive off 421.

Highly recommend stopping in, learning a bit about how important pollinators are to the food chain, grab some ice cream, soak in the view, and visit the gift shop, stocked by local artisans and craftswo/men. Don't forget to check out the annual Honeybee Festival!!

As its namesake states, don’t let its “hidden” location deter you from experiencing “happiness” at this special place. It’s nestled in nature about a mile down a side road off 421, and is well worth a day trip to meet the owner H.S. Greene and buy some of his raw honey. In a world that wants to sell you pharmaceuticals, that only seem to treat the symptoms. I have been amazed at the findings of (root cause) healing while researching nature’s medicine: Honey. Mr. Greene and I are kindred spirits, in that while he was sharing his immense knowledge of bees, nature, and life itself; he agreed that there are aspects about honey that even a 100 years from now, we as a civilization will still not fully understand. So do yourself and your loved ones a favor and go shake hands with the only pharmacist you’ll need.PS Thank you so much for filling that jar of mesquite. Romans 8:31. I’ll be seeing you soon when my “prescription” is due to refill.Proverbs 24:13AP

Very quaint shop filled with all things bee related, including necessary supplies to become a bee keeper, classes, and a small ice cream area. Take pictures on the oversized bench against a beautiful mountain backdrop. This little shop has so much to offer for a different experience than a usual mall store experience. 3 minutes from the 421 access to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

If you are coming home from Boone or just out and about. This is a great stop. The owner is one of the nicest people I've ever met. The honey is out of this world, also they have an awesome woodworks side as well. Cool selection of pottery and candy's too.

A must stop in the area. Not much signage, but 1 mile off the main road and you can enjoy all kinds of honey harvested on site. Jams and butters. And a great host.
