So while I love craft beer and breweries, when I'm at the beach craft beer is not a top priority--I'm going to have a few drinks on the beach of course but the order of business for said beer is (a) cheap; (b) not too dehydrating; and (3) crisp/refreshing. My favorite crafts are usually either hoppy IPAs or creamy stouts (with the occasional sour or scotch ale thrown in for variety). But on the beach? Give me a sixer of light domestic as that's the only time such beer really, really hits the spot. Ramble over-- an evening on the beach is different as a cocktail or a craft beer is MORE than welcome. My brother really wanted to try a few local brews and is a s***** for a flight. He missed my trip to the local "Lost River Tavern/Brewery" (which rules) but we were staying near Growlers to Go and he had his mind made up to try it out all week. We each tried a flight of beers, each one we sampled was good. I stuck to mostly IPAs brewed in NC, and all were good. Pours for flights are like 4 oz (x5) for less than $10. Pints are CHEAP. Growlers, pints, cans, or bottles to go--very fairly priced. Super friendly service. A small but decent selection of premium cigars as well. There isn't any outdoor seating and indoor seating is sparse, though there is a bar you can stand at. Worth a stop if you're a beer lover, but not a place to camp out and talk for very long.

First time here. Just in town on vacation. Probably the best little hidden gem I could find. If you like craft beer, skip the breweries this place has it all. ABC liquors has in NC has nothing on this place. Excellent service and extremely friendly staff. Over 40 different beers on tap. Everything organized by an OCD master (easy to understand and find exactly what you want.) Also a varity of cans to go, cigars, and wines.

Visited them several times this week. Great people. Awesome beer selection. Nice little cigar stash as well. Visit them when you are in town. You won't be disappointed!

Craft Brew Heaven. They offer over 42 taps, varying between selections of sours, pale ales, IPAs, stouts, and more- all local to the NC or VA area. Bonus! They had a completely different selection board than their sister store Growlers-to-Go Kitty Hawk, yay more beer to try! You can grab a glass to drink on site or buy one of their various plastic growlers to go (sized into pints, 32ozs, or 64oz). They also offer a vast selection of non-refrigerated beer packs-in addition to several refrigerated individual cans for purchase (Bonus! If you create a complete six-pack they offer a $1.50 discount on the pack). Staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable about beer. It was great to chat with them, as they made recommendations, while offering mini sample tastings. We ended up making two flights ($9 each for four 5oz beers). This was a delightful place to visit to explore the local craft beer scene! We ended returning the next night to grab full pint pours-meeting another really friendly staff member, enjoying a local brew together!

This is the kind of establishment where a beer aficionado behind the counter is needed. I told him what beers I like and he directed to what I should try. After a few samples it was obvious which beers were coming home with me. The selection is excellent and I really like that they have a strong focus on local brews. Besides the tap beers they have a great selection of cans and bottles from all over the place. Overall, if you like beer, you need to stop here.

Wow. Hit a home run with this place. Went in looking for local North Carolina beer in cans. Left with 36 different types as they sell individuals. Great price and service.

Love this place! Great tap and packaged beer selection!! They are following the social distancing and mask laws here in North Carolina. This place not only cares about your beer experience, but your comfort, health and safety!! Words cannot express how incredible these types of business' are to all of us. Go here, support locally owned responsible businesses! Spend money, tip generously, enjoy great beer and expand your beer knowledge!

Absolutely wonderful and friendly service. Their only flaw is they don't deliver! Our family really enjoyed the visit and will go there again next time we are at the beach. Great beer selection and reasonable prices.

Do you want to go drink somewhere fun and different while in OBX? This is your place! The amount of beers they have on tap means there's something for everyone, and I do promise you'll find something you like. I went during Labor Day week, end of season, and right before a hurricane...so they were out of several taps, but that was to be expected. They still had a lot to choose from! My group talked with the woman who was bartending, and she told us they're usually all full (and there are a lot). I appreciated that they had several sour/gose options available, as places often don't. If you like sours and get the chance to try Gizmo Strawberry, do so! A few other customers raved about it, so I gave it a try, and it was delicious. We got two flights, which I think were well priced, and it's awesome that we were able to choose anything from what was on tap (some places only let you choose themes, basically). Growler prices are good, too, and you have a few different options to choose from. If you already have a growler, bring it with you, cuz they'll fill up whatever you need! Let's say you don't want to do pints, flights, or growlers - they've got bottled and canned craft beer to choose from and bottles of wine as well!

Stopped here on the last night of Vacation. Made it the last stop because I knew some local NC " packaged goods" would be making there way home with me. 42 beers on tap, and a large selection of cans/ bottles to go. nice place and the owner was great to chat with while drinking our samplers and pints. Left with some great NC beers. Will be back
