Fantastic property! All my adult kids had comfy beds and private bathroom, enjoyed the hot tab, paddle board, kayak, the sunrise, walks by the beach and the amazing sunset. We had BBQ for Christmas and cooked several other dinners comfortably.
We hope to be back sometime in the future!

We stayed in a house in Duck this summer with family and had a wonderful time. Check in was easy, home was clean and we really had a memorable vacation!

We have rented our beach house with Sun Realty Duck for over 20 years. Sun Realty provided us with a sense of security. We signed a contract for each rental season and easily chose our options of what we wanted. We also chose the winterization, storm and fire, CO detectors and fire extinguishers. They took care of all of that. Sun Realty was in communication during the rental season if the renters had any questions or concerns so anything was taken care of quickly. ALL the staff at Sun Realty were friendly, attentive and took care of us well. Our late father sought out Sun Realty after our mom passed away and the house was sitting empty too much. After he passed away last year it was a tough decision, but we decided to sell the house. As our father would always say Sun Realty “Was top notch “. Sun has represented our rental home in the Outer Banks for years and has been a great partner. They are always quick to let us know of potential issues and are always on top of helping us solve anything that comes up.
I'd highly recommend using them if you have a property that you would like to be managed.

From booking to checkout, Sun Realty was a delight to work with. We rented a cottage in Duck for two glorious weeks in September. Sun Realty made the reservation and payment processes so easy. They promptly answered any questions we had and kept in contact with us throughout our stay to see if there was anything we needed. Check out was a breeze. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. We will most definitely use their services again!

will choose a more vacationer friendly service when going in future years. I’ve been vacationing almost annually for 20 years in obx, generally Corolla, duck and southern shores. The sun realty business practice is now to not let you in the house until 4pm unless you have early checkin even if the house is ready. This is not the case for other rental companies nor was it the case when we previously rented through sun realty. Our house was ready by 1pm, we saw the cleaners leave. I called and asked if we could get in and was told we would get the code when ready. Nobody was at or near the house between 1 and 4.
This isn’t horrible but it’s a clear sign of culture and suns culture is clearly to drive fees and not to enhance the vacationer experience or owner experience. When I own a home in the area it won’t be rented through sun realty.

108 Sea Tern Dr EThis was a family group stay from Sunday to Sunday. Received a call informing that the rental was ready approximately 1330 hrs Sunday. I understand that a pet friendly stay has an extra fee for cleaning. However the rental was not clean. I guess the cleaning fee is for their benefit, not the patrons benefit. Monday morning when the sunlight hit the floor, dog hair was everywhere. I spent about an hour vacuuming the whole 2nd level (dining, sitting/tv room, kitchen and bedroom) and behold the dirt collection canister was 3/4 full of dog hair and other debris. Had to do a few repairs, toilet flush handle loose and the chain on the flap came off and got stuck where the water continuously ran, one of the tubs wouldn't drain because of the sand packed in the drain plus had to purchase a shower curtain because it was filthy, the entry door handle was so loose/falling out it was hard to open(tightened it), and a few other things that needed to be done. The pool dude did an excellent job however a better debris screen would've been nice to deal with the leaves.
