Please think twice when you vote for Monica Thibodeau. Even she not responsible enough with her life decisions, how can she help to this beautiful community! She let her car drive by 85 year old woman, and she ended up for me just because she is old enough to not drive then guess what happened!! Of course, nothing… even I couldn’t find a local attorney to seek my rights.. let me repeat that again, I had an accident and lost my business, just because someone who’s just 15 years younger then being 100 years old tried to drive and found me! Well, I have many of bad words and I don’t think it’s the place to write down.

This is perhaps the worst town on the Outer Banks to do business in. There is a woman named Sandy Cross who's sole purpose is to make your life a living hell. I wouldn't buy anything in Duck as long as she's the "Sr. Planner". It's like she gets board and runs around nitpicking peoples homes, the businesses your grass, literally everything! . Until she's gone stay far from this town from a business perspective. She even terrorizes the communities at every opportunity. Very many complaints and yet she remains in her position and trying to throw her weight around. Extremely petty and tiny town(ish). Seriously.. Don't buy a business or a home in Duck until you've spoken to a few locals/business owners.

A great place to vacation. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The Boardwalk is a nice neatly one mile walk from end to end

A little slow driving through duck because it's mostly a 35 mile per hour zone. Had quite a few shops to rent bikes or boats or rafts/jetskies. It was a very nice area and a little busy. Enjoyed the places to rent and stay and had a few eating options and ofcourse enjoyed going to the beach.

A beach with a nice small town flavor. Everyone we ran into was kind, the beach was nice and clean, with friendly lifeguards. Duck doesn't have big hotels so there is plenty of room to hangout on the beach. There is also a good set of clean and modernized restaurants and fun shops nearby. On the downside, and I understand how parking can be a problem, but there doesn't seem to be public access to the public beach.

Our very own Mayberry! Home away from home. No stoplights. No franchises. All family. Great beaches. I hesitate to say come visit but you really should!
