I bough the 'Rails to the Rim' tour package. Their specialist Jabeu H was very efficient, knowledgeable and patient with me, answering all my questions and gladly complying with all my requests. Her bright and friendly greeting was especially appreciable. She was very eager to help and get the work done.

Please read this before doing any expensive service with AAA RTP. We used them for over 4 years, and just had the worst, most disappointing experience that has left us in a horrible position.
We took our hybrid here bc they are hybrid certified. Fast forward four years and our engine overheated. They told us we needed a replacement, and offered to do the work for us for $9K, including the cost of a barely used replacement engine.
Since they replaced our engine, our car has been undrivable. It kept breaking down and they kept saying it was minor issues. A bubble in the coolant pipe, etc. They worked on it, it broke down again, always in less than 48 hours.
Eventually we had it towed somewhere else and we are now told we have a transmission leak so it needs to either be rebuilt or replaced.
There was no issue with the transmission before AAA RTP did an engine replacement. And they werent even competent enough to diagnose the transmission issue themselves. We expected them to give us an accurate diagnosis of the car so we could make the best decision before we replaced the engine.
Of course they claim no responsibility. So we were scammed into spending $9k on a car that is still undrivable. We can never prove if they damaged our car, but they failed to diagnose all that was wrong with it before convincing us to spend $9k on only fixing part of what was wrong. Either that, or they damaged it. We will never know.
My husband spent two weeks trying to negotiate how to get money back on what we spent, which was all under warranty. They treated us horribly. Told us it was a coincidence. That they aren't responsible, there is no way they could be. They pretended they would "make us whole" and then were disrespectful when we called to follow up. They never gave us back cent.
We will never go back here. You shouldn't either.

The manager clearly needs a refresher coarse in customer service.
I had a part shipped to the hwy 55 location. My regular service writer was off that day but let me know that it showed up and that the store manager wanted it picked up asap. ( I regularly drive 35 minutes to get my car serviced with AAA) so I drive to the store to figure out what is happening and find the manager, Pete. I told him who I was and that I was told to pick up the door but that I wanted the work done at AAA. He told me the part was out by back already ( he put it by the dumpster while throwing his temper tantrum). When I told him that he was being ridiculous and over reacting, he told me to just go get the part and that he didn't want to do business with me. In a customer service setting if a part shows up with a customer's name on it standard practice is to call the customer to try to set up an appointment and gather information. Instead of handling the situation the right way, Pete was rude and useless.
It is time for my transmission service and my brake fluid service within 500 miles so between fluids and the part installation he chose to turn down around $1200 in services just because he handled a situation wrong and was too immature to resolve the issue correctly.
This is the only negative experience I have had with AAA in years. I always try to give good reviews for the employees that are informative and respectful.
To summarize the review, I hope that no one else is unlucky enough to have the 'manager' (Pete), 'attempt' to help them!

Edit: update after 2 months, 2 "investigations", no sign of the actual refund and no word back, ever. AAA in this region is a joke. Save yourself. Pathetic.
I suppose if you enjoy being gaslit and don't care about your car, this place will do. I've been bringing my vehicles here for a little over a year, and never in my life have I had so many recurring car troubles. November 5th I had my MAF replaced and the fuel system "cleaned", including the throttle plate. Yet twice since then (Nov 30) my MAF had thrown a check engine light. So imagine my shock opening the car up this week to find an absolutely not even a little bit cleaned throttle plate. (Picture post "cleaning")
And then, upon demanding a refund, which to be fair, was granted without hassle, I impressed upon them the importance of actually doing the services they charge for. I would have left it there, but the absolute audacity of Terry trying to convince me that a) a dirty throttle plate isn't a problem and b) they totally cleaned it. Cleaning "doesnt take sometimes", whatever that means. That I have no clue what I'm talking about. Well, I have to draw the line somewhere.
I could go on with more details about the "work" I've had "done" here, but I'll leave it at: don't take your car here. I've been treated better at the sketchy gravel car graveyard lot mechanics than I was here.
Unbelievable.

I had a flat tire & forgot I didn’t have a membership anymore. The lady I was talking to was transferring me to renew it & it just hanged up. I was on hold for about 10 minutes before she hanged up on me

Don’t bother making an appointment, you will be sitting there for hours with NOTHING happening to your car. Big waste of time and effort.

In general, I'm disappointed that AAA no longer sells travel items. Parking here was tricky.

had resquested service and waited all night and they kept saying will be there in half hour. I ended up canceling. I called the next day early morning, same thing. I missed half day of work. I had to keep calling to get an update, and at the end they said they had cleared it out because didn't have anyone To be dispatched. If I had not call, I would've known, and would be there waiting. I am super disappointed. I am paying for a service, is not like I am getting this for free.

I will never return to this location. I along with several other customers and people that I know, feel that this company price gauges for repairs. I went in as a first time customer and I will never return again. They failed my inspection over a wiper blade and wanted $59.00 for just one wiper blade. Not to mention a list of repairs needed to be done worth $2200. My car is not in bad shape at all, and I have spoke to other mechanics and shown them my report from this bogus location, and they all feel that this place took advantage because Im a woman. And the prices charged do not make sense. This is outrageous and you all should really be ashamed. AAA is not worth what I thought it was. I will never come back and everyone that I talk too says the same. Why are you charging so much? Your mechanics do nothing but joke around all day. Kept me for an hour and a half for nothing. This location and everyone in it is a total joke. They deserve no stars.

I called road assistance in Durham several times yesterday around 4:00. No one answered. I called the other AAA number for car repair, they answered, said I needed roadside assistance, so they tried to get through to roadside assistance to help me. No one answered for them either. Finally a Good Samaritan stopped and gave me a jump. I’m a AAA PLUS member. I was by a store, SO glad I wasn’t on the road. Feel insecure now about getting needed help!
