Great choice of beer, knowledgeable and friendly staff. The ability to make your own 4 pack / 6 pack is unique to the area. Highly recommended. Definitely stop in for a beer if you are in the Durham area.

It's been over 3 years since I was here until I stopped in this week (12/25 - 12/29). More seating & tables have been added, but that has reduced the shelving available for beer inventory. While not a restaurant, Beer Durham does allow carried in food and they also have bar type snacks available for sale. The great strength of Beer Durham is the wall of draft taps where beers can be tasted prior to purchase. The owners are good folks and have created an inviting atmosphere for tasting, drinking, and socializing.

Cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Place was clean and well organized. Not a large choice in beer to go, but may have been out of stock since it was Friday evening. I would have enjoyed staying at the bar, but I was visiting from out of town and just picking up supplies.

Beer Durham is a great little beer store in downtown. They're my preferred option whenever I need a relaxed drink and am downtown Durham.
