Yes the gas is cheap there but the help is rude because not sociable when you work with the public you're supposed to be pleasant I don't care who you are make people not want to come back when you're not pleasant

Cashiers always on the phone, seem bothered you are interrupting their phone calls. High prices and selection not great. Get off the phone and clean up and paint that place.

I grew up with this store exactly one mile from home. Mr. Wooten, R.I.P., ran a respectable business since day 1. After the sale, I was initially happy with the new tenants as a whole. Then, things went to pot quick. The 6am “open time†was more of a roundabout figure than a specific. The prices jumped 20-25% and the quality of service dropped at least double that...well, let me be clear about that. I've noticed that the lady, who seems to be the matriarch of the group, is courteous and very quick to help. The other two gentlemen, who seem to be the children of the matriarch figure, could use a hand. The men are rude, condescending, and even deceptive. The morning guy likes to try to pass off incorrect product and then distract the customer by asking about where they work, hoping they don't notice they received incorrect product, change, whatever. He seems to think that it's funny, or even somewhat clever. It's pitiful. The evening ‘gent' gets quite ill if a customer shows up anytime after 10:30pm. (I thought they closed at 11) No greeting, no smile, no bag, no thank you. Just a cold shoulder. I'm not usually one to rant like this, especially regarding the livelihood of another; but this is ridiculous. Maybe elsewhere this is considered okay. Personally, I don't appreciate it in my neighborhood.

Their pricing has gotten out of hand at this place. I have been coming to this place on and off for years since I live so close to it, but after today I will no longer visit this place because of their pricing. Also every time I go in there the cashiers are on the phone. I also think the cashiers are upping the price of the items when we're not paying attention, and gripe every time I ask for a receipt. I wish I could give this place negative stars!!

Originally called Pope's in my childhood but it was sold then re-named it Billy's Mart but basically same little last stop, country rural gas station. I grew upon the side of town this little, country store is located. Far, rural east Durham toward Falls Lake is where everybody gets gas, cigarettes, sodas, beer, bread, chips, snacks, their morning coffee, fishing tackle, that one ingredient like baking soda or eggs you ran out of and get, or a cool drink when riding your bike. Sells diesel and kerosene, propane exchange, air pump, free parking and wheelchair accessible. Growing up I knew it as Popes, has exchanged hands over many times but it's still the neighbor stop and shop. DOES NOT STAY OPEN UNTIL 11pm on SUNDAY!! Uggh

It is as basic a gas/convenience store as you could ask for. Poorly kept up, frequently has people loitering in cars with no real purpose outside. The worst thing about it is that it has two double sided pumps and they are placed too close together. If someone is filling up at the front one, the back one is inaccessible. One last note, the front awning is usually covered in massive spider webs from massive spiders. It's the sort of thing you'd think they'd take care of, but never do. Watch your head.

Only go here if you have no where else to go. They overcharge for almost everything in their store. They seem to be slightly higher of fuel prices too!! Would not recommend....
