Sarah T. has been cutting my hair for years. The way she expertly brandishes her thinning shears makes Edward Scissorhands look like he’s still in preschool using safety scissors. Her knowledge of products and mixing chemicals for the perfect shade of hair dye rivals the mathematical finesse of Walter White himself. I have allergic reactions to many hair products, and she worked hard to find the right combination for excellent hair care and styling with no itching! The shampoo/scalp massage is almost worth the visit all by itself. I always feel like a million bucks after my appointments with Sarah!

I’ve had great haircuts at this salon and highly recommend them. Tiffany did a super job on my hair and listened to my last minute requests. I wasn’t sure what I wanted and Tiffany helped explain what would and would not work for me. Lori Hobbs does wonderful highlights. I look forward to seeing both stylists again! Thank you!

I get my hair done by Ruth and she always does a great job with my razor pixie cut. She knows exactly how I like it and I consistently get a great cut and color with her.
I would love to see the salon get a makeover though…. It reminds me or something from the 90’s that has never been updated. They are an Aveda Salon. They should look like they are!

A nice comfortable Aveda salon conveniently located in Belk's. I've gone to several stylists there over a period of about 15 years, all good, with different strengths, depending on what you need. I've found Ruhiyyih to be talented and fun and good with color. Exhibit A: Ruhiyyih curled these curls and took the picture! And Lori Hobbs seems thoughtful and meticulous and as though she puts real effort into haircuts and styling. The receptionists are helpful and nice. It's on the expensive side, but generally worth it.

Holland is amazing!! She has been doing my hair for 8 years now and I am not a low maintenance client. LOL I love "fashion colors" and Holland has seen my hair through dozens of color changes and lengths from my butt to my jawline. My hair always looks fantastic!! People stop me everywhere to ask who does it. Without her care I would not have spent the last decade wearing a rainbow of hair colors.My hair can be rather complicated at times but she always takes it in stride and makes things turn out right. She listens well and works hard to give me what I want, but she will also tell me if something won't work or look good and I really value that! It's nice that she's at Carmen! Carmen! where more people can benefit from her awesome hair skills. The salon is lovely! But really, I would follow her anywhere... Today she made my hair a bright raspberry, I can't wait to travel with it!Services: Shampoo & conditioning

I called requesting an appointment for a blowout and flat iron. I explained that I was natural and asked several times if they did African American hair, they said yes. My hair felt awful when I left and was coarse at the root which is very important to straighten. I feel like I wasted $60. Although the customer service was great I really wish people wouldn’t say they can do black hair if it’s not their expertise. I don’t pay to sorta have my hair done well. What make matter worse was I had a birthday dinner planned later that evening and I felt terrible when I left. Just be honest with customers. I do not plan to return here.

I got my haircut today after not getting it professionally cut in a while. Actually, I was going through some stuff and did the “I’m going to cut my own hair based off of a TikTok I saw” situation and Miss Donna was so polite and kind. She did an amazing job and I left feeling great! She even said I did a pretty okay job at cutting my own hair! 11/10 would recommend Miss Donna or the rest of the staff here!Services: Shampoo & conditioning

Julian created a beautiful updo for my daughter’s curly hair! we took an inspiration pic and he nailed it! He’s very talented and he also was great at talking with her about what she wanted every step of the way!
