Durham Bike Co-op is a community-driven bicycle repair shop known for its excellent service and affordable prices. The volunteer staff, described as "great people" and "outstanding," are praised for their patience, kindness, and deep knowledge of bicycles. The shop offers guided or DIY repairs, with a well-organized inventory of used parts and great work-stand areas. Customers have reported learning more about their bikes in a single visit than they had in their entire lives. The co-op also sells and rents bicycles, as well as other biking gear, making it a one-stop-shop for all cycling needs. Despite the occasional long wait time for repairs, the Durham Bike Co-op is highly recommended as a supportive and valuable resource for the local cycling community.

I went to the co-op for the first time and had a great experience. Rick is extremely knowledgeable and kindly walked me through the whole process. I had an extremely damaged bike that he was able to bring back into full functionality! I would definitely recommend working with Rick if you have the opportunity.
