I do not have a checking account with this bank, but I do have a mortgage with them. I stopped in to try and get change for my cash drawer, I am opening a store across the street. I expected there may be a charge, but they refused to change a couple bills for me since I did not have a deposit account. Sent me on my way. I know where I will never have a deposit account now.

Like the service here, and very close to Southpoint mall. I don't know what else ti say in this review, it's a bank.

Was at the ATM getting money and paid their ATM fee. I noticed a guy had set up a tent in there front parking lot which made me uncomfortable from a SAFTEY standpoint. Not to mention the trash everywhere that you would think they would care about in it self. I went inside and asked them why and they stated they are not doing anything about it. I could not talk to branch manager as she was on the phone for an extended amount of time and I had to go. I know by the lack of customer concern at a bank and I don't care attitude I will not do business with them in the future.

We paid our client a check for doing an assignment for my company, and the check cleared my bank account but for some reason the manager Megan Anderson refused to release the funds to his account. He went in today to speak to the manager to try to figure out why his funds are not available so he can pay his staff. She began to give him nasty responses and quote on quote said she didn't know him like that and said she was not going to release the funds because she didn't want to. Please know our company and his company are prepared to take all legal actions until we hear something from first Citizens. This is wrong and unlawful. She apparently said more stuff to him but I would be here typing if I told you everything word for word.

STAY AWAY FROM ATM MACHINE.I put one star because I had to, zero stars for a zero bank. I've been banking with First Citizens since I was 18 years old I'm now 36. I tried using my ATM card from my brokerage account with another firm and I didn't get any cash and the amount was deducted from my account. I called the 800 number hoping they could help me only to be told that I have to wait on the dispute from my bank. The phone reps weren't interested in looking into the matter. They told me I had to wait, very very poor customer service. I understand that mistakes happen but you should try to help your customers. They took no information from me like my debit card number or the time I was there. I have to put the work in for their mistake.

Actually, a great bank for a small business. As long as your know their regulations and understand their fees, I've not found a bank thats better. The service I get from them has always been remarkable. They do seem to be a little harder to get loans if you have credit problems than some other institutions.

Best bank for small business!. They provide all the services anyone would want. This particular branch has the best customer service. Well managed operation that still feels like a small bank. Their new Internet and mobile banking services are excellent. Highly recommended...

Not a good bank for small business. They hide the fact that they have fees for absolutely everything you may need them to offer. I highly recommend any other bank.

I used to have multiple accounts with First Citizens until I moved all but one of them to Wells Fargo last year. I had been banking with First Citizens for over 7 years but after quite a few negative experiences with them, I decided to move banks. My bank cards would randomly get decline for no reason and I found their services to be sub-par. I recently went to this First Citizens branch on Fayetteville Road in Durham to withdraw money from the one account I have left with them and the teller that I dealt with was extremely rude and unprofessional. She acted like she did not want to give me MY money and began questioning the address on my account. When I explained everything to her, she was still rude. Her demeanor and attitude is the reason why I will move my last account from them. Everything she said could have been done in a more professional, courteous way. I am done with them and recommended if you do bank with First Citizens, you go to a different branch where your business is actually appreciated.
