I had the best experience with Dr. Norah. I engaged her for pelvic floor therapy while pregnant to prepare for birth, and I also had many sessions in the months following birth to aid in my recovery. She helped me prepare to push and learn what muscles to engage, and my birth went smoothly, which I credit largely to her! She also helped me recover fully and gave me lots of great tips and exercises to ensure my pelvic floor regained its strength but also wasn’t overly tight. I highly recommend her to any pregnant or postpartum women looking for pelvic floor physical therapy!

Highly recommend Functional Phyzio. One on one appoinments are hard to come by these days and makes a big difference in treatment outcomes, in my opinion. I appreciate the time Norah took to diagnose my injury and come up with a plan that was specifically tailored to my individual needs. Great experience!

Norah is the best! As a guy, I was super nervous when I started to feel pain in my pelvic floor. Norah’s assessment gave me peace of mind and her program was able to nix the issue quickly. If you’re considering reaching out, DO IT!

I started seeing Doctor Norah about 8 months ago after dealing with pelvic floor issues for 3 years and seeing different types of doctors and therapists. Norah has used a truly holistic approach to help me recover. She has prescribed exercises with focused precision to work on global issues affecting my body that contributed to the pelvic floor dysfunction as well as conducted specific treatments directly impacting the pelvic floor and hip region. Besides helping me to heal, Norah has also taught me how to use various types of exercises and self-treatment methods to deal with any flare ups I may have. Having these tools has empowered me to start exercising again without the fear of hurting myself. As a life-long athlete and martial artist for almost 40 years, I feel more resilient now than I have in a long time and I am ready to train harder but smarter than I ever have before. Thank you Doctor Norah!

Norah Whitten and Functional Phyzio and Performance Therapy have been instrumental in my pregnancy journey! The one-hour appointments and Norah's skilled, personalized approach helped me to run and stay strong and active throughout pregnancy. I learned more from Norah in navigating pregnancy and preparing for labor than I did anywhere else. I will surely continue to see Functional Phyzio postpartum and in returning to sport in the months and years to come!

Dr Norah was able to figure out what was wrong and what we needed to do to fix it in a way that all the other doctors and PTs I've tried before haven't been able to do. Within a couple sessions I was seeing improvements and within six sessions no pain at all! I was hesitant at first because she's out of network but I'm glad I took the leap! She was able to work on things unrelated to my main concern during the sessions and spend an entire hour with me. Highly recommend if you have a concern or pain no other specialist has been able to fully address!

I came postpartum to solve a variety of issues. With the help of Dr.Norah and with a little effort at home we could solve most of it. The atmosphere and staff in the office are very friendly and welcoming. I Always feel comfortable to come. Also very thankful to all the informative emails that Dr.Norah sends.

Norah was the perfect PT to help me get back to playing ultimate frisbee. She put so much thought and intentionality into what I needed, listened super well, and I truly trusted her guidance. I had a complicated injury but she made me feel like there was hope and after a little bit, I noticed tangible results. Id recommend her to athletes trying to recover from a complicated injury any day. She's great!

I would call Norah and Josh miracle workers. I was experiencing pain in my left knee when running, and was told by my primary care physician I should stop running. I met with Norah and Josh and they changed my running form and helped me strengthen my quads and hamstrings. They also did dry needling which helped get rid of the pain. I found immediate relief and after a few visits and the pain has gone away. They also helped me with my flexibility and stretching. I enjoy going to visit them. They are very professional, friendly, and experts at what they do. I highly recommend you going to see them.

I started working with Functional Phyzio after experiencing significant pain that was affecting my ability to do everyday activities. Over multiple months, Norah has helped treat the acute pain, worked with me on preventive measures, and helped me return to exercise without pain. She has taken a whole body approach to addressing issues and helping me get stronger, which has been so helpful (as opposed to concentrating on one body part in isolation). Norah listens closely to concerns and provides a highly individualized experience. The exercises and work we’ve done have helped increase strength and mobility in ways that will benefit me for years to come.

I highly recommend Functional Phyzio for physical therapy! It’s perfect for active people who want to stay active. Dr. Josh and Dr. Nora started with a thorough evaluation of my shoulder. The goals we set that first day were very accurate…within just a few visits I was able to build the stability and strength needed for my workouts.

I've been very impressed with Dr. Norah! She helped with the problem I had and has also been helping with preventative strengthening. It's a frighteningly simple idea that I can learn how to lift and move beforehand, rather than having to wait to get an injury!!Also, I really respect that Dr. Norah cites her sources and they're from peer-reviewed sites (lots of NIH) for her newsletter articles!

Before starting PT I was scared that I would injure myself if I tried to perform core workouts. Functional Phyzio helped me regain the confidence I needed to begin working out. Dr. Norah and her team are so kind and encouraging, I will definitely be seeing them again when PT needs arise!

I met Dr. Norah Whitten when she was giving a workshop. I liked her empathy coupled with a very practical approach to the issue I was having. When I learned her practice is rooted in not only restoring capability, but enhancing athletic performance. I knew that I'd found the right physical therapist.
