The Home Depot1700 N Pointe Dr, Durham, NC - Very poor experience with assistant(??) manager on Friday afternoon 11/24. After requesting the store manager - that's who they sent after waiting. In sharing my receipt we were just past the 90 day return window, where just the price difference was requested. The responsibility of a store manager is or should be to offer a solution of any kind - something - anything, but here they were unwilling to do anything other than recite their ever changing policies. The more she opened her mouth the more I though, I'm sure glad we didn't have this store provide and install our new home construction kitchen cabinets.I quickly took my wallet with me out the door with that experience.

Ab, in customer service is Absolutely Phenomenal! I called in last month from another state needing some warranty information to assist my 90yr old grandmother. I was hoping that I would get someone that was helpful, and I did! I explained to Ab what the issue was and what I needed and she was BEYOND helpful! I Greatly appreciated her assistance and how courteous she was.

5 starOne employee ERIC GENTRY was a life saver for me. He saw me coming into store and I was exhausted and immediately got an motorized chair for me. He then told me where to go in store to find what I needed. I consider him an excellent employee and a great representative for Home Depot. This was at N Pointe Dr. store in Durham. Would definitely return to shop and thank him again for his kindness.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Horrible experience! They can refuse a return within the return window for whatever reason they choose or make up at the time. The manager doesn't really care to take of customers and will sit there and maje jokes at customer expense with her employees! Lowes it is for me from now on!

I went to HOME DEPOT to purchase items for a house project for the weekend. The man in hardware tools helped me. He pulled out a sander that would work for my project. I specifically asked him if it came with a battery and plug, as I live 30 minutes away. He said YES. Granted, I am using a HD gift card as the last time I was there, they sold me a USED shower head, as a NEW shower head. Now, I pull out the sander to charge it. And I find out after opening the box that it does NOT come with a battery pack or a charger, which is sold separately. That's another $60+. I called hardware to determine what battery and charger I now need to purchase. They guy in hardware could not help me, so he transfered me to a manager. Now I speak to a manager who mumbles and his accent is so strong I cannot tell what he is saying. I told him that I did not hear his answer and requested to repeat it. Then he got an attitude and said "mam, I already told you". I told him I did not understand him and to repeat it. Then he copped more of an attitude and said I already told you. WTH! These people do not know what the hell they are doing and are completely incompetent! So, I will return the sander and the paper for a refund. They just lost that sale and and a loyal customer who has dropped a lot of money over the years in their chain. I will never shop another Home Depot ever again.

Horrible, horrible experience! I made a large order online and it was so frustrating. I came to the store on the date for my pick up and my order wasn't ready. They hadn't even begun to pull it. So I had to go and do it myself. Why even offer it??? There was only one associate who was working, everyone else as either on their phones or couldn't be found. Plus I filled out a survey and asked to be contacted, but again was left wondering where everyone is at??? There are too many other places to get your supplies! Save yourself the headache!

Great customer service, items (mostly in stock), and good variety and price. I'm comparing those things to Lowe's in North Durham where I've experienced repeated waking nightmares. For example, I was picking up several sheets of plywood by myself. Lowe's is a shorter drive and I get 5% off using their credit card. Lowe's showed a pallet's worth in stock. Nothing on the shelf. No one to ask to stock it. Went to Home Depot. Nothing on the rack but was easily able to flag down an employee who drove a fork lift over and stock it in 10-15 minutes. Another employee helped me get the boards on my cart and another helped get them on my roof rack. Thank you HD for going the distance.

No Apple Card in these times is quite frustrating considering the time we're in. Time to get ahead of the game Home Depot. Even dollar general has Apple Pay. Sad!!!

My family placed an order for a counter top and paid extra for 1 day delivery for the item (it was too large to fit in our vehicle in store). First, the item was delayed. Then, it arrived several days late while I was home, and without knocking or getting out of their vehicle the delivery person used a literal forklift to drive the counter top over my front yard and up against my front porch (damaging our sidewalk, our grass, AND the brick of our front steps). Having witnessed this, I immediately called the manager of the Durham store and she informed me that the store outsourced delivery drivers and she was unable to provide me any details (essentially the "not my problem" response). She added that "this happens all the time" and informed me that I could file an insurance claim through Home Depot to address the damage. As expected, the insurance claim she suggested I file was denied because the delivery driver was an outsourced company (which obviously is a decision made BY Home Depot who is 100 percent responsible for the choices they make when charging for product delivery). No one has gotten back to us to resolve this matter despite attempts to contact the store. Basically if you shop in this store, you will be charged a large amount of money for a delivery which will not only be later than promised, but will cause extensive property damage to your home. I strongly advise anyone considering shopping here to GO TO LOWES.

A dozen beautiful Lenten Roses outside Home Depot on N Pointe Dr. dying for lack of water. I asked three Home Depot employees who were hanging out in they garden department doing nothing if they would water them and they said it was not their department. I asked if there was a faucet anywhere so I could do it. They looked at me blankly. Half an hour later it was still not done, so I emptied my water bottles into the plants. Shame on you Home Depot.

I purchased 12 trees from Home Depot paid for landscaper to pick them up and plant them and 4 of the 12 dies and are completely brown. I called the store at North Point in DurHm and was told to take pictures of the dead trees and bring it into the store and I could get replacements or a refund. I went in with the pictures and was told that I have to bring some of the dead particles into the store. I explained that I do not live near this store and that was inconvenient for me

Look, I wish I could hip you to all the home improvement details but honestly today's tea and all you need to know is that Home Depot is a one stop shop. I love this place. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they always have product in stock. I've come here several times in the past couple weeks, for a variety of gadgets and it's been a joy. The prices are competitive, beating other retailers (of the home improvement variety) and each time I leave I feel just a little bit more confident - like I might actually know what I'm doing. I love the fact that they not only sell products, but can and willingly do explain how on earth to use them if necessary: eg c/o HD and YouTube University I re-keyed all the locks in my house for the hefty sum of $12, yes. I was overjoyed to cancel my appt with the locksmith, like no sir I don't need you anymore because I did it myself, talk about feeling empowered *cue the hairflip*. Parking is also a cinch with a giant lot and there's a Harris teeter and Petsmart right next door, so basically this shopping center is a one-stop-shop. Hookup the house, pooch and grab snacks? What else could a girl ask for? Clearly a lot but today this was enough. To all my DIYers, live it up!!! *sidebar, subtracted a star because sometimes staff can be hard to find, but it's COVID so I'm not complaining.

The appliance delivery guys really messed up my new refrigerator. They scratched the door, couldn't level it and then left with the ice maker on and the water hose not attached. If you're going to buy an appliance from Home Depot (North Pt., Durham) pay for someone else to install it or do it yourself.

Recently ordered an oven from Home Depot. We live in North Carolina. Was told it would be delivered today October, 25th between 1pm and 530 pm. My fiancé took work off in order to be here for the delivery and began calling Home Depot starting at 430. He called a total of 5 times from the span of 430-930. He was put on hold for a total of 200 minutes. At the end of everything (at now 10pm) he spoke with Melissa and still got no information about our delivery. It is very unclear to me why there would be no communication between the delivery folks and the "number to call with questions about your delivery". We are extremely disappointed in this abysmal customer service, and will be returning the oven and never using Home Depot for any product again.

Completely not sure how HD can sell appliances. I ordered my Washer Dryer combo online (during Covid) on May 5 during a promotion. Original delivery date 5/29. On 5/28 still scheduled. Called 5/29 and said rescheduled for 6/18 due to backorder. 6/17 -- same thing, still scheduled. received back to back calls at 6:01 PM and 6:03 PM one with a delivery time and one saying order delayed again until 7/9. Went into store. They had no appliances they could get delivered to me
