It's a Harris Teeter, but strangely, there's some military geared out Gravy Seal posted at the front door. It's creepy. I'd be more worried about someone being shot because he's there than anything else. No armed guard at Meadowmont or the other Chapel Hill locations.

I guess this is what we get for doing groceries on Xmas eve, but there wasn't much produce when we went at 8:30am. Other than that, the store had a great selection. Prices were a bit high, and I'm from CA so that's saying something.
My main complaint was the touchy self checkout machines. I kept needing help for all kinds of stuff that never causes issues when I shop back home. Oh well, I got most of what I needed so I can't complain too much lol

You have to watch the expirations of items here, as well as the quality of produce and baked goods. Constantly coming home with expired yogurts and other items. Berries consistently moldy. I just bought a berry crostata yesterday from baked goods to my co-workers, to be embarrassed to open it up and have them find mold. This is happening in multiple sections of the store, so this directly falls on management as they are trying to get the most money they can instead of tossing their expired products. They aren’t cheap either, and it’s tiring going back to the store for a few dollars every week, but it adds up.

There's an old man who works at the self checkout area in the mornings. Every time I'm there checking out he stands directly behind me watching everything I do as if he thinks I'm stealing or doing something wrong. Pisses me off.

I never write reviews but do with this information what you will. I visited this harris teeter and purchased a 30 count box of eggs. (I should have examined it more before buying) after arriving home I opened it and was surprised to find feces on the side of one of the eggs. I took it back and it was not much concern from the lady at the customer service desk. I won’t visit this location again and wanted to make people aware of this incident for yall benefit.

This is my neighborhood grocery store, and it's always clean and organized. Today, I had trouble finding something, and when I mentioned it while checking out, Gail not only went to find it for me; she brought me three options to choose from. I really appreciate the help!
