My favorite grocery store !

I visited here a few days ago and I was helped at the customer service desk. I was helped by Sandra I believe. She was really nice and helped me with my fuel points. There was another young guy named Bryann (he had on white shirt) at the desk as well. I was needing to exchange my pineapple for another one. He so kindly offered to go grab me another one since the one I picked was going bad. He came back with 2 pineapples to choose from but I declined (which I felt bad about) because I’m picky. I told him I would prefer it to have more yellow. I feel like those are sweeter and more ripe, but I’m probably wrong lol. He was so nice about it and I hope he doesn’t lose that kind innocent helpful spark that he has that so many people lose. He was amazing!

It’s hard to emphasize just how much I dislike this grocery store. Does it have all the items you need, with a good selection? Yes. Does it have great pre-prepared options? Yes. Is it moderately overpriced without better quality, compared to other competitors like Food Lion? Yes. However, what really sets this grocery store apart from not only it’s competitors but also other Harris Teeter’s is its organization. It has large double aisles for the majority of food items. Aisles are comically labeled to the point of being completely useless. You’ll spend an absurd amount of time trying to find items on your grocery list, because they are organized in this store unlike any other store I have ever been in. A grocery trip that would take me 15 minutes in a different Harris Teeter, or in a Food Lion or Aldi, will end up taking 30 or 40 minutes in this Harris Teeter. The store seems to be the pilot location for intentional shuffling of traditional grocery organization in order for you to have to spend more time searching in the store. It is frankly anti-consumer and we should demand better of our grocery stores. This is not a one off review, I live near the store and have intermittently been forced to go over the past four years.

Excellent Selection/Variety and the Beer and Wine Bar is awesome. Molly, the lovely manager, is VERY knowledgeable about pairings and recommended a few hits! Service was top notch!
