I used to come here for groceries in the mornings every other day. The old lady working the self-checkout aisle has always called me ma'am and referred to me as a woman. I am a man with a thick beard who wears men's clothing. As a customer I do not think it is worth going to this store if the policy is for employees to directly disrespect the customers. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Harris Teeter is located in a shopping complex alongside other varied stores such as McDonalds, in the south point area of Durham.Harris Teeter is a massive supermarket, it has a gorgeous range of fresh, quality section of fruit and produce always fresh, the display is professionally done to enhance the fruit / produce at its best, it has a big meat counter, fish counter, cheese counter and my favourite is the fresh cake counter, there is a big freezer display, there is a large offerings of wine and spirits. The pharmacy is large also covers many medicines some over the counter and some on display. As a supermarket there is nothing Harris Teeter doesn’t sell and if you can’t find one of the many helpful staff are on hand to assist, there is not forgetting a Starbucks branch to cater for the hot drinks/ or the many drinks on offer these days as well as the luscious snacks on offer, the great thing about Harris Teeter is the reasonable prices and the loyalty card

I love coming to this Harris teeter but after today I won’t be coming to this location. The black lady in register 1 was very rude. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or has stuff going at home but when it comes a to a work place you shouldn’t take it out on the Customers very unprofessional

I needed gluten free flatbread to make homemade pizza. I'm not familiar with GF bec it was for a guest. I approached the bread man who was stocking named Kevin. He was super nice and all he had was loaf and he directed me to the bakery/deli section after telling me to also check frozen. I headed first to deli. A nice young woman named Jamiya in the deli, instead of telling me where to look, walked me all over the store including back to the bread guy to get more info on GF. We went to refrig biscuit section w/ no luck, pie crusts section then finally found GF frozen pizza dough. Another employee Kirsten helped join in the search as well. Jamiya even read off some of the ingredients/directions on the packaging bec I could not see very well. Outstanding service! I haven't been treated this well in a very long time. Bravo Harris Teeter! I wanted to do a HT survey but there wasn't one on my receipt. This is my new go to store. Has it's gas station at bottom of parking lot- very convenient.

Store itself is awesome. Always get what I need, however, checkout is awful. My checker whose name is Special put raw chicken on top of my lunch meat and cheese. Smashed my bread and buns under boxed items and smashed my tomatoes under bananas. It’s clear by her throwing my bags into the cart without even caring that she hates her job. Will go to self checkout next time to avoid this person.

How hard is it to update your hours online? It takes one minute. Also just saw the security guy laying handsom a poor couple to get them out of the way as they were trying to exit the store the wrong way. Seemed incredibly rude

Love this grocery store. Always good products and their own products tend to be very high quality… except their take home and bake pizzas.Do not buy these! I got the cheese pizza one night and my god for the price they charge I could have gotten one from dominos or two from little Cesar’s and had a pizza that was actually enjoyable. The cheese was the only passable part, the pizza crust(?) dough… whatever it was tasted like store bought pizza crust but for whatever reason no matter how long I baked it it never got any crispier but it wasn’t thick enough to be considered like pan style. But the worst part was the sauce. Oh god the sauce. Strait from a a can of tomatoes. It was thick. Like they just applied strait tomato paste. The grocery store is great, but that pizza was the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. My son ate the cheese but not any of the rest, and I took 2 bites before I told my wife “ this was maybe the biggest disappointment of my life…” and at that moment I legit meant it.

Am a big fan of Harris Teeter as a grocery provider™️ but this review specifically concerns this locale’s pharmacyMore specifically how amazingly efficient and nice they always are. In addition they won’t hesitate to go *way* above & beyond

I like this location. It was once Kroger but I hadn't been inside the building in over five years. The store is more stretched out so its better for shopping. I racked up a lil over a $400 bill ???? but the guys who checked me out , Zion and Novado, were FAST. Not gonna lie Novado got a little scared when he saw my cart lol but they were great.

SHOCKING WASTE OF SPACE. This store is about the size of 3 football fields. No wonder they have to have carts that people can drive like little cars! Enter the store and shop for vegetables located along the front wall, close to the front door...and then walk about 125 feet to get to the end of the store, with tables of bread, pastries, etc. surrounded by literally 20 feet of open, empty space. I can walk a mile in 15 minutes and love to walk -- but WHY ON EARTH are stores here built with aisles that are 12 ft wide? If I want to go for a walk, I don't need to do my 2 miles in this store! It's not only unnecessary, it's exhausting and what a horrifically bad use of space -- overbuilding retail spaces, too many shopping centers, and all of that unnecessary pavement -- which keeps water from soaking in and contributes to flooding issues. Store is also "not cheap" -- and I say this as someone who has relocated from the city of San Francisco -- one of THE most expensive places in the USA!

Staff has always been nice and helpful. They stopped having baskets so getting just a few things is a hassle. The last time I went they didn't have any carts large or small inside to use. I just left....
