I particularly appreciated not having to wait two weeks for an appointment, as is often the case with the dealership. It was also a great convenience to have next day appointment and same day service, especially since there isn't an Audi dealer in Durham, being able to drop off my vehicle and walk home, then pick it up in evening, was incredibly helpful.
The work was completed in a timely manner, and price was excellent, especially when compared to the estimate I received from the Audi dealership, complete satisfaction with the recent service I received.

I am writing to share my recent experience with Hi Tech Motor. I had taken my 2015 Chevy 1500 to two different auto repair shops for a recurring check engine light issue. Despite replacing several parts as advised, the problem persisted, reappearing within 10 to 15 miles. My friends recommended either the Chevy dealer or Hi Tech Motor on University Drive. When I called Hendrick Southpoint in Durham, they had a three-week wait, and I needed to travel to New York soon. I then called Hi Tech, and they scheduled an appointment for me the very next morning. I was impressed that they open at 7:00 AM, so I dropped off my vehicle right at opening. I explained my past experiences to Syed, who took all my information and said they would perform a diagnostic to determine the issue and provide an estimate. He also mentioned he would call me with the details I received the estimate via text message, and within five minutes, he called to explain the problem and the repair process. The estimate was for $938.37. Having already spent $4,200 on previous unsuccessful repairs, I had no choice but to give verbal authorization for the recommended repair. Around 4:00 PM, I received another text informing me that my vehicle was ready for pickup. I picked up my truck at 5:00 PM and drove it all over Durham to ensure the check engine light would not return. The following week, I drove the truck to New York and back, and the issue has been resolved permanently. I am extremely happy and will be a lifelong customer of Hi Tech Motor.

I feel like he was rude because I’m a black woman. He had an attitude already when I came and said you were supposed to come by yesterday at 430. We didn’t have a standing appointment, I was just going by to see if I needed my front or rear brakes fixed because I wasn’t sure. He asked if my car shakes when I go over 40mph and I told him “NO. Nothing is wrong with the car it’s not making any noises but I know it’s time for brakes..” he proceeds to get in my car and I thought he was driving it into his garage but instead he drove off and took off down the street! He never told me he was going to drive my car away and I stood there waiting for 5 minutes. He quoted me $395 for the front brakes and rotors and once I left my car started making all types of noises as far as the brakes. Which was very weird seeing as how before he drove away they weren’t making any noise at all. I feel like he drove my car fast and kept slamming on my brakes when he drove away. But I have NO IDEA what he did because he just drove away and came back 5 minutes later. I hate shops that take advantage of people and I felt like I was taken advantage of and HE WILL NEVER HAVE MY BUSINESS NOR ANYONE ELSE I KNOW. I don’t know what that was all about but I didn’t appreciate it one bit!!! Also when I went to another shop they could twist my bolts off with their bare hands. He didn’t even screw my bolts back on tightly. That could’ve been detrimental to my life. I will absolutely be reporting this place! Extremely upset and I feel completely used and taken advantage of!

I’m visiting from out of town. They got me in right away on a Saturday to do a diagnostic on my car after it started showing a warning light on the drive to Durham. They gave me a solid picture of what happened, answered all my questions, and gave me a very realistic picture of what was going on with the car, any risks with driving it, and how severe they could be. Amazing, respectful service and I’d recommend them to anyone local or visiting from out of town! Prices were reasonable and they didn’t try to force any extra work on me.

The absolute worst experience took my truck in to have warranty work done had to show so called certified mechanics what the problem was only to be told it wouldn't be covered under warranty only to call the warranty company and find out the repairs most definitely would be covered under warranty would never recommend going there all of these reviews are fake

I would give 0 stars if I could. Went to get my tire plugged and was told it would be $30. I left, went to Thrify Tire Service on N Roxboro Rd, and was charged $10 to get my tire plugged. PRICE GOUGING at its finest.
