Short Version -This shop tried to charge me for their own mistake, and then misinformed me of an engine check code just to get rid of me. If your check engine light comes on after one of their services, check to make sure they put your air filter back right.Because Jiffy Lube won't lift a hand to help you with what they themselves screwed up.Full Version:I went to this Jiffy Lube to receive a oil change, brake fluid flush, and inspection. They also took my air filter out to show me. 30 minutes after, my check engine light came on and started idling rough. I immediately took it back to have them look at it.The first thing out of the mechanic's mouth was that they would charge $30.00 to read the check engine codes. I told them no, my light came on 30 after and that cannot be coincidence. He begrudgingly did it. The code came out as: P0171. He said that it was a bad oxygen sensor that had nothing to do with them and washed his hands of me.After a few minutes talking to a mechanic at Pep Boys, I discovered the P0171 code can mean any number of things with the vacuum seal, not just the oxygen sensor.I brought the car to Pep Boys the next morning. They found the same codes, took one look under the hood and found the problem. After taking out my air filter, the Jiffy Lube folks reinstalled it incorrectly, causing the problem with the engine and tripping the check engine light. The Pep Boys mechanic spent literally 30 seconds diagnosing and fixing the problem. And the charge? Zero.Jiffy Lube takes the air filters out of cars to show to the owners all the time in hopes of getting an upsell. They should be very familiar with what happens when it doesn't get installed right. The mistake I can forgive. But the attitude, the attempt to charge me for their own mistake, their misinformation of what the code meant just to get rid of me, and for not taking 30 seconds to look under the hood, see the problem instantly, and fix it? That's terrible service. My experience there has convinced me never to go back to a Jiffy Lube again.

I took my car 2 weeks ago to get my coolant flushed just to maintain regular maintenance. Just recently my car started to smoke, liquid was leaking under my hood and the temperature gauge was going up and down. Turns out my cap was old and corroded (I drive a 1996 toyota avalon) and there was a hole in the cap that they put back on my car. Luckily I went to a different shop and just paid $30 for a new cap and fixed the problem. How could they have let this slide? I could’ve damaged my radiator much worse. I paid $170 for a problem that wasn’t even there before.

The worst.. take advantage of women/elderly. They recommended a tire rotation upon arrival, also said they only had high grade of oil on hand but would only charge for lower grade... Well, I drove away and tires never got rotated. When I reviewed the bill, they charged for high price oil and charged for a rotation that never happened. NEVER again will I put money in worker pockets. Stay away! This Jiffy Lube, Hwy 54, Durham NC.

Was told I could get an oil change and tire rotation. After oil change, I was told their lift was broken and could not do the rotation. No apologies…just matter of fact.

My technician Antone was very kind, patient, nice, professional and quick. 100 satisfied with his customer service. I drove 30 miles to have a 2nd time service, because these guys run this store very efficiently. Good job to whomever is hiring and managing this place??? .

Prices are too high. A good local mechanic will charge less. I chose just to do an oil change, but need a tired rotation, transmission flush, and are cabin filter change. No one goes to Jidfy Lube to spend $400.Service: Oil change

This Jiffy Lube is my favorite in the area. Caleb and Tyler helped me today and as always they did a superb job. Either of these gentleman could be managers (and that’s coming from somebody with decades of management experience).
