Called here twice. First time scheduled an appointment. Called back to change the time of said appointment and I’m being told that appointment was nowhere to be found in the system. This annoys me. If I drop my car off for work will Maco mishandle this too? Horrible customer service experience with just making a simple appointment. The people answering the phone seem pleasant but didn’t even make the appointment properly.

I have never seen such bad service in my life. We took our truck summer last year. We had to take it back because they forgot to put the stripe back on the sides and the paint job was sloppy. They kept our vehicle for a week first time then four days the second time. Took it back not even a full year the paint was chipping at the top by the windshield and a spot on the side also paint chip on the bed of the truck. They painted one side where it was chipping and we asked why didn’t they get the other side. They said they didn’t see it. Bring it again for a fourth time. We should be able to get some of our money back for the
inconvenience of having to get other transportation to and from work when the job should have been resolved the first time. It was also a clear coat of something left on our rims. After not being able to get this issue resolved from Terrance the manager nor did the regional Michael help resolve this issue in a timely manner. We are forced to warn others. We would never recommend this company. We don’t feel comfortable taking our vehicle back a fourth time. The service was unsatisfactory.

Terrance and the folks at Maaco were amazing! I received a no pressure quote and when I decided to go with Maaco and dropped off my truck, I was told it would take a week. I dropped it on a Thursday and it was ready on Tuesday at noon to my surprise. The paint job looks great, a huge dent is gone as well as a huge scratch on the tailgate of my Tacoma. They did a great job at an affordable price. I'll definitely go back to them for any other needed repairs!

I brought my 2019 Dodge Charger bumper to Maaco for painting on April 1, 2025. The bumper had previous paint damage, and I specifically provided the OEM paint code (PS2) and VIN for an exact match. I was quoted $533.84 and signed paperwork acknowledging that minor imperfections might occur and color would be matched as closely as possible.
Despite being promised a 5–7 day turnaround, the job took three weeks. When I picked up the bumper, the color was clearly off—more blue/gray than the original “Bright Silver Metallic” (PS2). Maaco staff insisted they followed the right process and even suggested I provided the wrong code, even after I showed them proof from the manufacturer sticker.
I was pressured to sign paperwork stating I was satisfied before they would release my bumper. After installation, it was obvious the color did not match the rest of the car—off-the-shelf spray cans matched better than Maaco’s paint. When I asked them to fix it, they blamed my car’s “faded” paint and refused to redo the work or provide a refund, offering only to repaint my fenders (for an additional fee) to match their incorrect color.
Other local shops confirmed the color was wrong and recommended Maaco repaint the bumper properly. I also discovered that they had simply painted over the old, damaged paint instead of stripping it, leading to a very thick, poorly adhering finish that began to peel within days and made bumper installation difficult.
Overall, I’m extremely disappointed with the quality, lack of accountability, and poor customer service.

Much thanks to the crew at Maaco in Durham. They did an excellent job in bringing new life to my vehicle. They were very professional and did what they said they would do in a timely fashion at an affordable price.

Great paint job for great price. I was worried it might not look like original paint but they did a tremendous job matching color and put the pin stripe back on. Very happy with their work.
