We had our wedding ceremony at the Museum of Life and Science and it was beautiful! Lauren was very easy to work with and graciously answered my dozens of questions. The day of the staff was very accommodating and helpful. We're so pleased we chose this as our ceremony venue!

This science&nature facility is one of MANY points of interest in the area. Explored on a summer day where it was actually cooler inside the Butterfly House (I believe they replicate a Costa Rican rainforest climate) than outside in Durham. Watched the adults emerge from the chrysalis to complete the metamorphosis. Mesmerizing surroundings and visuals/scents. The outer zoo was on lockdown when we were there due to a couple of wolves escaping their enclosure. Added to an already fun day.

Lots of fun and learning to do throughout the whole museums. Enjoyed viewing many of the different attractions they had. Great place to go when it's wet outside.

This place is stuck in time. A science museam as it calls itself that hasnt changed a thing in last 10 years at least. There are couple of poor animals, some bugs, butterflies, reptiles and barn along with some big statues of a few Dinosaurs..yes thats the idea of science museam. Should have a max $5 ticket but it costs $25 per person to enter. I say call it a 'museam for suckers' . The entire upper management of this place should be fired for incompetence.

Such a great place. So many different experiences. Our kids had fun the entire time and didn't want to leave. We will definitely frequent this place.FYI, the cafe food is really good; they also have beer and wine ?.

Really impressive experience, especially for kids. Way too much to see in a single day, but you'll want to come back for more anyway. The treehouse alone is worth the price of admission (or better yet, membership)!

Really good Museum with lots of indoor/outdoor activities and environments for kids and adults. Some of the activities include the Butterfly House, Hideaway Woods, Farmyard, Sprout Cafe, Explore the Wild nature park, Catch the Wind, Dinosaur Trail, and the Ellerbe Creek C.P. Huntington train ride, and many more. You need to purchase tickets to get in but children from 0-2 years old don’t need tickets. Also, on Durham Community days, Durham County residents get in free with current proof of residence. All adults must have Durham residency to get in free; each adult can bring up to five children. Guests without current proof of residency will need to pay for tickets at check-in.Plenty of restrooms throughout the Museum The indoor and outdoor facilities are well maintained and safe. The animals look well taken care of. It has a small parking at the Museum but there is a large parking deck across the street. Parking is free.

The best. One of Durham's shiniest and most treasured gems. We're so lucky to have this place in our community.

Amazing place and worth the hype for Raleigh Durham area. We went for a kids birthday party. They have a mini zoo with live farm animals! As well as inside they have birds and reptiles, and in a separate area, a butterfly habitat - we saw a little girl covered in them (3-4 of them). Amazing. And really cool scientific interactive exhibits inside, as well as various playgrounds including a ropes based treehouse outside. Awesome experience.

My experience at the museum was amazing, I enjoy myself with so many things they have at this museum. To be my first time, I was so amazed, because I know this a place I can take my nieces and they would enjoy it with the different things they have for kids to experience, the train ride was fun even if it was 5$ extra it was fun, the butterfly garden was amazing, the playground, they have animals, the science had so many things kids can do. This is a great place to bring kids. I absolutely loved it.

We have a membership and have visited the museum plenty of times. My kiddos love it! The only issue we've had and always have is with the front desk staff. The last few times we have been, the front desk members have been really rude and condescending. Something really needs to be done about this. It is not the best thing to have rude staff as the first thing people have to encounter.

WOW! We never knew about this museum until our kids told us to meet them and our granddaughter here. This place is FANTASTIC! It's HUGE! My wife and I are members of the Greensboro Science Center, so we got half-price tickets here. They have a nice gift shop that also has a small coffee shop as well. They do not offer cups of water, you will need to buy a bottle if you didn't bring your own. The building where you buy tickets, where the gift/coffee shop is located, has a lot of hands-on science experiments for kids. Our granddaughter is two, and most things are designed for kids a bit older. However, she still had a ton of fun. We then headed over to the butterfly building. This was a magical place. A butterfly landed on my forehead, and then down to my face, and stayed there as we walked around. My granddaughter got a huge kick out of it. Well, all of us did, actually The entire complex is based around a shaded circular walking trail. The greenery is amazing and so well done. As you walk around you find other things to do. We did walk the entire path, but we could not do everything they had. It was too much and we started to get tired. I can't say enough amazing things about this place. We are going back soon with our granddaughter and this will most likely be a regular spot for us.

Best place to visit! Lots of room for the kids to play. You can spend the whole day here and still have more to see so it is a great value and the whole family has fun. The food area has great options (and beer and wine): this is my favorite children's/family activity in the south east
