This studio is something special. The coaches are all amazing and the head coach, Erinn, really sets a high bar.I started taking Orange Theory classes in July of 2022 with a fair bit of trepidation. I was worried it would feel like some kind of fitness cult. Although I have always had a BMI below or within average ranges, I was never in great shape and struggled with significant muscle weakness. I decided, as a very research-oriented person, that the best thing to do to prepare for my new era of aging was resistance training.I had a pretty bad shoulder injury when I started, and was afraid to use anything but the lightest weights. Coach Erinn has helped me more than my PT with form, advice, and encouragement. In two years, going very slowly and sometimes not super consistently, I’ve gone from using 5 and 8 lb handweights and not even being able to do wall push ups without pain to being able to squat 70lbs, do 15 pushups (from my toes) in a row. My cardiovascular health (from running) has also improved greatly. I don’t suffer from exercise-induced asthma while running anymore. The best things, though, are 1)that I’m still injury free and 2)that we have an amazing community at this studio. I’ve taken OTF classes around the US during travel . While they’ve all been great, MLK has a really special camaraderie and diversity. The glue is the head coach. Some of the other studios have a competitive edge that isn’t my jam. Here, everyone cheers each other on in a very healthy way.Even the front desk staff (especially Della) are amazing! Always very professional, always going above and beyond, always providing top notch customer service. Our coaches deserve the best—my only hope is that Big OTF gives them plenty of incentive to stay. This feels like my fitness “home” and I hope it stays that way for many years to come!

I recently had the opportunity to try out the gym for a free trial, and I must say, I was impressed. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel incredibly welcomed. There was even a personalized welcome sign with my name, which was a nice touch. The atmosphere was friendly, and the people there were all supportive and encouraging. One standout staff member, Erin, really made my experience memorable. She struck the perfect balance of pushing me to do my best without making me feel inadequate. I appreciated that I could do the workouts at my own pace and comfort level while still being encouraged to challenge myself. The only downside for me was the color—red isn't really my favorite ( if you know, you know) But overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking for a welcoming environment with supportive staff.

The best workout and studio! The coaches are so motivating and supportive, and the managers and staff are always very friendly, to both newcomers and long time members. The studio is clean and the equipment is well kept.So grateful to be part of this community.

Garbage. Not worth the money. Don’t get morning sickness before class or they will charge you. There is no consistency and some associates say one thing and others say another. Run. Don’t use this gym.

I was misleaded and feel like their cancellation policy is totally insane. I attended a free class and had 24 hours after that to sign up. when I went to sign up I was given a long contract to sign but was verbally explained the terms. I was unsure so wanted to just sign up only for a month. They did not say I would need to cancel the day I signed up for the following month otherwise I would be charged for 30 days. Basically unless you cancel the day you sign you are on the hook for 2 months. I did not have an option but to get into a binding contract ie, months contact. also it is not cheap. Moreiver I injuted my back and am afraid to go back as given the pace of the classes and the instructor is not available to make sure you are doing the exercises/weights right.

Visiting from out of town as a Premiere member. Brought my friend in for a class (who is a local) and they wanted to charge her a drop in fee of $28, which is absurd when they could have given her, her first class for free as it states on the website. They could have also given her the first class for free as the guest of a Premiere member, but said it had to be at least 30 minutes prior to a class starting. Really OTF? How important are your members to you? How important is it that a good impression is made and good customer service is in place to earn new OTF members?! Instead, we went to burn boot camp for free and my friend signed up for a membership; your loss due poor customer service. As a long-time member I'm beyond disappointed and upset.Traci

I understand that you want to hold people accountable to work out but if you're already paying an astronomical amount to work out at this gym, when a work schedule ends up conflicting with the class you can't make now they will charge you for a late fee. How are you supposed to get an eight hour in advance notice if you're told in the middle of the day of work? Things happen and the fact the rules can't reflect real life situations is ridiculous.

Not what I expected and I mean that in the best way possible…I must admit that the idea of OrangeTheory Fitness scared me but I eventually took the leap and I am so glad I did! Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly. I feel like I have learned so much about myself and gained confidence that I never knew was possible. 10 months postpartum and I have never felt better. You are absolutely worth the investment!

I am loving Orange Theory and am really surprised. I like the fast paced and varied workouts. The coaches are all fantastic and keep you motivated but never pressured. Some days I go in and take it easy, but still burn a ton of calories and other days I am super competitive (against my previous measures) and push myself. I am seeing terrific results after two months. I look forward to going now.

One of the best studios I’ve been too. You def feel a sense of community and see familiar faces. I’m sad to have moved but this is a great place to get a good workout in. Also if you’re a UNC/Duke student they have student discounts so just inquire.
