This place is amazing. I love the pork fried rice. The General Tao's is also a great menu item. My only complaint is that they don't have wonton soup.

BEST TAKEOUT IN THE TRIANGLE. Excuse my empty plate but I had to show how much food I still had leftover after eating my dinner. I stumbled upon this place because I used to live by Southpoint Mall. I noticed how busy they were and the line to order/take out. Months later I finally tried it and YEAHHHH. The food was fresh. I've had typical takeout but it can feel heavy or I just don't feel the greatest after I eat it. Not the case tonight. The chicken was juicy and the sesame sauce tastes very good (even paired with rice and noodles). Also, I read another review previously about this place actually serving white meat chicken. From what I had, that's what I was served too. If I get takeout from a mall or other restaurants, I don't know what type of chicken it is. It's either chewy or stringy. This was not the case at Orient Garden. As for the lo mein, the portion was good. The noodles are nice and thick, I filled up pretty fast. When I would just want noodles living by Southpoint I went to P.F Changs and that mess was trash. Wish I would've found this place a lot sooner. Orient Garden is so good. As for the building, they don't allow you to go inside but the menu is large enough to see. I also went at 7:30 (Prime Dinner time) and they were accommodating all orders, including DoorDash/ubereats. When I ordered the woman was so nice and told me 15minutes. I came back in that time and my order was ready. I will definitely only eat Asian food from here.

Unfortunately the quality has really deteriorated. Just had dinner from here for the first time after they reopened, and it was totally different than their food before the closure. In the past I always got sesame chicken and my husband always got general tso's, and the chicken was crispy and the sauces sticky and flavorful. This time the chicken was soggy and there was barely any difference in taste between the sesame and general tso's. Dumplings were dry and lacked flavor. This used to be our absolute favorite spot for Americanized Chinese food, now it's just a real bummer. Not sure we will go back.

Overpriced. The sesame chicken made me sad. Based off other reviews this place seems to be hit or miss, but with the prices I wouldn't risk it.

Ordered delivery vegetable low main which was $24. Wasnt given an option for sauce, called restaurant and asked for extra hot sauce. No hot sauce or fork was delivered. Had to eat with my hands because my hotel kitchen was closed. What a

Theyve dummy down their menu since covid. I had pork with black bean sauce. Lots of veggies and very very little pork. And it was that weird red edged pork. Idk. Mediocre at best. Very disappointed.

So if you’re hip, you know that this places serves some of the best General Tso/Sesame chicken in the Durham area. I recently ordered for pick up 30min before closing. I’ve done it before, never an issue. Well my chicken last night was not chicken. It was the fake breaded “chicken” that most Chinese restaurants serve (Little to no chicken at all, just bread). I was really surprised and disappointed because that’s never been my experience here. Have they opted for an inexpensive and cheap alternative like Breaded chicken instead of the real chicken all so they can still make their $17 an entree???

I'm not sure why this place has a low rating. I'm giving it 4, but if I could give it 4.5 I would. Food is consistently good, portions are large. I am a repeat customer, I order once a week.

The food isn’t good. We got sesame chicken and it really doesn’t taste much different than frozen one.The fried rice had no flavor at all, and was sticky with a weird consistency. It seems like they make a big batch and it’s not well made, just soy sauce to change color, but nothing “fried about it”.Save your money and go to frozen section in grocery store or spend less at a hole in wall.I spent $27 and it was awful….

I've been doing the Asian food thing since agreeing to do the Daniel's fast with my church. Orient Garden has always been my favorite, and I even forgot to order white meat only, but it didn't matter because it was mostly white meat. The food is always on point and it's so much for the value. You pay a couple dollars extra but you get twice as much. There is no actual service because it's a storefront opportunity. You can't eat in the restaurant, but when you could, they were always attentive. I do miss being able to sit down at their spot, but I understand that they are so busy as a to-go spot that they can't handle in store service. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, but you only interact for a few minutes. I wanted Mongolian beef, too- but with the fast approaching, I couldn't do it all. 100% the best spot in Durham.

Just picked up my food today (Shrimp & Broccoli); shrimp was severely overcooked and rubbery the garlic sauce was watery and no flavor at all! This USE to be the spot,Needless to say I was very disappointed, they must have new cooks or something. Looks like I will be going elsewhere.

Best take out Chinese in Durham, where options are limited. Take out only. Quick and fairly priced.
