Perkins Orchard is the largest and oldest produce market in Central North Carolina, open 11 hours a day, seven days a week from April to December. With supply from over 300 farmers across 12 states, the market offers over 30,000 pounds of fresh produce daily. Established by Dr. Joseph E. Perkins in the 1970s, the orchard has been transformed by his grandson, Donovan, into a cherished community staple. Customers appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and the impressive variety of items available. The bag deals, particularly the $25 fill-up option, provide great value, often coming with additional free items like eggs. Visitors enjoy a personal touch, with Donovan often sharing the story of the business. Perkins Orchard is praised for its commitment to sourcing from small farmers and providing high-quality, fresh produce. It has become a popular stop for families, especially during pumpkin season, and has earned a reputation as a must-visit local treasure.
Always a great selection. Most of the things were gone today 😭 but with 4 free items, I don't blame y'all. HAPPY HOLIDAYS 🎄🙌🏿❤️.

My family met up at the orchard Saturday morning and received a nice welcome and tour by the owner. The four of us enjoyed filling the bags for the $25 fill a bag promotion. We all learned about different varieties of produce. It was a great experience.
