Mr Peters and Vinnie his dedicated assistant took great care of us when we needed custom shelves for our wine bar. They were quick to deliver, have thoughtful guidance coming from a wealth of experience.
We wanted to support local business and they were very happy to help us design and ensure we were building proper support for our wine bottles and glassware :)

Steve made custom cabinets for our cabin kitchen (with countertops) and a bathroom vanity from antique wood. The bathroom came with a mirror and we also had him build a custom pantry for our small space. It was done exactly to our specifications. The pieces were absolutely beautiful and functional. I highly recommend and will be using him again for any future project as he will get you a quote quickly and make a quality piece in a timely manner. He’s very talented.

I'm proud to be a customer of Peters design. Stephen has contributed to the beautiful woodwork of downtown Durham restaurants. He does custom work for personal projects too. He did a beautiful job flooring and detailing our garage apartment. He appreciates wood the way a jeweler does gems. One has only to visit his shop on Parrish St. to see the originality of his work. Most important, he is trustworthy, I've never had to negotiate price, as his prices have always been fair.

Excellent customer service and quality wood work. Steve and Venancio make beautiful wood furnishings. I bought a queen size low (perfect height for my pup) platform wood bed frame. Then I bought an end table. I’ll be back for some custom wall bathroom and kitchen shelving. All made right here in Downtown Durham NC!
