Never anyone in the aquarium section. I've been there twice in the last week looking to buy fish and there's never anyone to help me. Go to petco

This is a great store, conveniently located and friendly staff. But why, oh why, did they stop carrying medium-size litter boxes? My small cat is swamped!

The groomers do a fantastic job with my dogs, every time I bring them to get groomed! They are very patient with my dogs and are very friendly. My dogs always look amazing afterwards!

Got 125 crickets, finally!! They kept dying in the cold weather when they were being transported. The sales woman was very friendly!

DO NOT get your dog groomed here!!!! I dropped my dog off to be groomed, half hour later they called and said I needed to come pick him up because he was being aggressive and all the groomers were terrified to work with him…. he’s a 30 pound MINI Bernedoodle! He never bites nor thrashes and I’ve had him groomed 100s of times by other groomers. I think the groomer just wanted to have a break and didn’t want to groom my dog, I’m so sorry that you had to do your job!! Will never be back to this PetSmart ever again!!!

Feeder bugs are always in bad shape and often dead.
As a rule of thumb, live animals for purchase at any chain pet store are in poor health, dying, and in neglectful and dangerous enclosures/storage. I find this to be the case at PetSmart. I have praying mantises, and the hornworms, mealworms, and waxworms are often dead. I came to get feeders after the holidays, and it was genuinely gruesome to see. Tubs of dubias were littered with bodies, fridged waxworms were all black and hard, hornworms had suffocated to death from being stored upside down, the mesh for air flow being buried by their feeder mix. I chalked it up to holiday break mistakes and untrained staff, but today I returned to find a tub of hornworms upright, and green, but unresponsive. i took the lid off and poked one gently. not a sign or movement at all. What the heck?
This is an industry that kills the soul of anyone who cares about animal life, especially reptiles and invertebrates.
Man, I don’t know. just order your feeder bugs from enthusiasts online. It's barely more expensive than this pet store carnage.

Understaffed. The last two times I've come here there was no one around to sell me fish, one register open and a line out the door. I give up. I'm going to pet supplies + from now on. Get it together guys.

We just moved to the Durham area with a newborn and we took our dog to the grooming salon here about 2 months ago. Today they denied her saying they cannot groom her because she’s too jumpy when they touch her paws. She is a husky so she is extra payful but has never bitten anyone and she is 5 years old. It is the day before thanksgiving and we have family coming over so we made this appointment over 2 weeks ago. Now we have to find the time to groom her tomorrow with a newborn at home. My husband said it seemed like they didn’t want to work today since it’s the day before Thanksgiving. They were also rude to another customer right in front of us. We are such loyal customers at petsmart and we are very disappointed. It seems like this has been an issue with this particular team for the last 8 months from all of the reviews
Here is our sweet pup.

Dae was our Groomer and she did an incredible job with my sweet boy Iso! She took great care and patience with him and his bath anxiety and was very sweet with writing a little summary of his care at the end of the grooming appointment. Thanks Dae for your kindness and making it such a nice experience!!

terrible grooming 3.5 hours later turned her into a hag. Even she is sad. they have to train them better or do they train them at all? She didn`t eat for three days.

My sweet boy has been going to Petsmart grooming for nearly a decade. It hasn’t been the best, but up until this point, they’ve been kind and reliable. Today, we had a grooming appointment at 1pm, and my husband dropped him off with no issue and updated vaccination records. Later in the day, I was away from my phone and missed two calls and voicemails that came around 4, nearly 3 hours after his appointment time. I texted my husband that I hadn’t listened to the voicemail, but I assumed that it was just to tell me that he was ready for pick up. It half was. Apparently, they were unable to complete the service because my 13-year-old lab mix was sliding on the table. He had CCL (doggie ACL) surgery 4 years ago, and they said that given his medical history they didn’t feel comfortable proceeding with the service. He was literally there a few months ago giving everyone kisses, and his health has not changed. The groomer had never groomed him before and said that it was probably just “a bad day” for him. That suggestion was ridiculous at best, but I have to say, if I was crated for nearly 3 hours, I may have a little anxiety. When I requested to speak with the manager, she more or less told me to take him elsewhere without directly saying it. Long story not so short, avoid this place like the plague. Failure to train your employees to complete the easiest of jobs is completely unacceptable!
