When I travel, I like to visit local restaurants instead of the national chains. I saw Zuppa di Pesce on the menu and picture on their website and had to cruise by to get some. The bread is excellent. It reminded me of my days in Germany. I asked for a bag so that I could take my leftover bread back to the hotel. The server brought me a bag with some bread in it. Definitely would put Pulcinella's on the list of places to go the next time I'm in town.

I love Pulcinella's. The food is always great.. I've been going there for years.. Wonderful pizza and their chicken parm is incredible. They also have a great Caprese salad sub sandwich that I love.. Great old-fashioned pizza place vibe.

This was our first visit, and it was disappointing. The staff is very friendly and attentive, but the food just wasn’t very good. While the rolls were good, the plate of oil and sauce was quite bland, and added nothing to the bread. The dinner salads were pretty basic, but the house vinaigrette was pretty thick for a vinaigrette and also lacked flavor. We ordered the salmon scampi and linguini with clams and muscles. The clams/muscles dish was about what I had expected, but the salmon dish was extremely bland. The fish itself had an odd appearance (we’ve eaten salmon many times at many different restaurants, and have never seen a piece that looked like this.), and had no noticeable seasoning. The accompanying sauce had no flavor either. Disappointing all around given the good reviews from others. Maybe their tomato sauces are really good?

While the atmosphere and service were great, the food was incredibly disappointing. The pasta seemed like it was just boxed pasta from the store. The calamari was chewy and under-seasoned. I ordered sausage for my pizza, expecting that usual chunks of sausage you get most anywhere else and instead it came with thinly sliced link sausage that was pale and bland.

I live in North Durham so I don’t frequently drive up this way for dinner. But when I was craving pasta after running in a race earlier, I knew I wanted to go here and it certainly did not disappoint. The food was superb and fresh, our server was excellent and detailed, and it was so quick (even on a super busy Saturday). The gnocchi I got was super pillowy and delicious and the Alfredo sauce on both my food and my partner’s was SO good. He has a pine nut allergy and the server was super careful about this. We’ll be back for sure!

Excellent customer service; had an issue with a delivery order and the manager took care of us immediately. The pizza is a family favorite and pasta classics are our other go-to options. We exclusively take-out or use delivery here. Great restaurant!

Ordered chicken Marsala delivery from this establishment tonight. Only words for it is pathetic. The most bland food I have ever eaten. Tossed it in the trash. These 1/4” thin slices of chicken breast are dry wafers with a horrible excuse of a Marsala sauce tossed around them. Even the button mushrooms are tasteless.Want make this mistake again.

My family has gone to Pulcinella's for years. It's part of a pre-Christmas tradition as well. The food is always solid, but the service in our last trip was beyond terrible. Our waitress was being asked to sweep the whole restaurant while also serving tables (other workers were just sitting behind the counter, so not sure why the waitress had to do it), she was on her phone just sitting at an empty booth (while we were waiting on her), forgot our salads, forgot the wine we ordered, never refilled water (nor asked), and blamed the kitchen for an order being wrong.I wrote the restaurant about it, thinking management would respond with an apology for the awful experience. It's been two full days since Christmas and they did not respond. But I see positive reviews have gotten a response on here in the last couple of days.We were going to give it another chance, because bad service can just happen (and the food is great) but that shows me they don't seem to care.

This is an ok restaurant but I won’t be back. Nice, family establishment. I want to like it but it’s very expensive and food was hit or miss. $8 for small bowl of kids penne Alfredo! Frozen spinach on the pizza. Messed up our pasta order. Bread, pesto sauce and carbonara were good. Friendly staff. But I’d rather get higher quality ingredients for the price.Vegetarian options: Few vegetable options and frozen spinach on pizza.

The service here was great. We really liked our waiter and the staff in general. Our main courses left something to be desired, however. My eggplant based dish was bland at best. My wife ordered a dish with an alfredo sauce base and it was not palatable. The sauce was definitely burned and had an unpleasant smell. My wife tried to eat some of the dish and it didn't sit too well with her.Perhaps other dishes are better here? The staff and ambience were fine, just these two dishes that were substandard.
