The shower plug had to be taken out to ensure that the water actually went down. I honestly couldn’t tell you if the sheets were actually clean. I lifted up the cushions of the pull out couch and there was trash and crumbs all under there that has obviously been there for a while. I ended up getting severe food poisoning from the scrambled “eggs” from breakfast. Probably my own fault, but whatever they used was cheap and inedible.

Spacious and clean room. Excellent service and hot breakfast. Can't ask for more. The hotel is conveniently located close to several restaurants within walking distance. Room had nice sitting area, with desk and chair. It had a trundle bed which can be converted to sleeper for two - I would think suitable for kids.

We spoke with the sales director about using rooms for different events. So far we have not been disappointed. The conference rooms are quite spacious and they have space for snacks and a small refrigerator. If we need rooms for overnight guests, they are very clean and spacious.Nearby activities: The hotel is located between Durham and Chapel Hill and is not too far from downtown so there is plenty to keep you entertained.Walkability: There is plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.Noteworthy details: The hotel has a bar for people wanting to have a drink or just socialize.

My recent stay at SpringHill Suites in Durham Chapel Hill surpassed expectations. From the spacious, clean rooms to the plush bedding ensuring a restful sleep, every aspect was excellent. The standout feature was the exceptional service provided by the friendly and attentive staff, who went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The complimentary breakfast offered a variety of options, and the convenient location made exploring the area easy. Overall, I highly recommend SpringHill Suites for its outstanding hospitality and comfort, and I look forward to returning in the future.Walkability: A lot of stores and restaurants are within walking distance.

I'm reaching out to share observations from our recent visit to SpringHill Suites by Marriott Durham Chapel Hill at 5310 McFarland Dr, Durham, NC, during my wife's American Red Cross business trip.We've always held Marriott in high regard, making it essential to address the unexpected challenges we encountered this time around.1. **Room Availability & Cleaning:** My wife and one colleague received rooms upon arrival, but four teammates faced delays up to midnight due to staffing shortages in housekeeping. Additionally, we were informed that daily room cleaning would not be available for the same reason. The front desk's response, suggesting we find alternative accommodations without offering assistance, fell short of the considerate service we're used to at Marriott. Although complimentary drinks were offered, they did not fully compensate for the inconvenience after a lengthy travel day.2. **Water Heating:** We experienced notable delays in water heating, similar to a previous stay, which affects guest comfort. This recurring issue warrants attention.We trust these points are outliers and not reflective of Marriott's ethos. A deeper look into these matters would be appreciated, alongside a follow-up to share any insights or corrective steps taken.Thank you for considering our feedback. Here Monday-Friday for work. I’ve taken ONE hot shower. Other than that. No complaints. Friendly staff and quiet place to stay. Just don’t try and shower at 7am.

I would never stay here at this hotel again. Between the customer service at check-in, difficulty parking, and cold showers this was my worst hotel experience ever. Hotel is located inside a shopping center. So you are constantly fighting for parking with shopping customers. Ran the water for 20 minutes to get a lukewarm shower. Rooms are nice. But definitely not worth what you're paying for. Especially with all the other faults.

Great breakfast, nice room, perfect location.Rooms: This hotel is in a very convenient location close to many great restaurants, shopping, etc… Service has been okay. Some of the staff acts like they wish they were not here but overall they seem polite enough. My biggest complaint would be the lighting in the bathroom. I have bad vision anyway but the light at the mirror is less than adequate for a female to apply makeup. The room is spacious and nice.

I highly recommend this hotel. Easy access to parking, wonderful staff, clean, and in walking distance to a lot of great pups and shops.Noteworthy details: Very nice breakfast, clean, super friendly staff. Workout room has a beautiful view and great location. Will definitely stay here if I’m back in town!

Fantastic value for the money. Clean rooms, and incredibly friendly staff - the front desk, the room service, and breakfast staff. Also super friendly. For the price, which includes breakfast, it can't be beat. Location is clearly not walkable to downtown durham or chapel hill, but for our needs (visiting family over christmas on the outskirts of town), it was fantastic. I will state that SpringHill has really strange bathroom layouts - thats the reason for my 4 star on Rooms. It was clean and everything else was great, but the bathroom layout was odd.
