About Sunshine Smiles Academy
Sunshine Smiles Academy is a 4-Star licensed childcare center in Durham, NC, offering nurturing care and learning for children 6 weeks through Pre-K. We provide a play-based, developmentally focused curriculum, low child-to-teacher ratios, and a warm, family-centered environment where every child is known and supported. Our secure facility, experienced educators, and strong parent communication help children grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Open Monday–Friday, 6:30am–5:30pm, we partner with families to create strong foundations with confidence and peace of mind.

We love Sunshine Smiles! The environment is full of love and care. Our little one has been going for about a year (since they were about 9 months old) and we’ve had the best experience. We love all the staff and teachers. Couldn’t recommend them more!

If I ever have another child, as long as these doors are still open they will be attending here. Absolutely lovely staff and environment. These ladies showed extreme patience and care for my child and any situation our family came across. They are all truly saints and my little girl adored every single one of the staff!

Our son has been going to SSA since he was 3 months old and he loves it, we love it, and all the teachers he interacts with take really good care of him as if he was their own.
