Traveled to NCCU for a college tour. The tour guide was great and the campus is really nice.

I’m extremely disappointed in this bookstore. I will never order anything else from them. They completely cancelled my order with no explanation and asked me just to contact the store. When I tried to do so, nobody answered so I just went in. The person working the back counter couldn’t tell me why the Order was cancelled and said that if it wasn’t on the shelf they don’t have it. I asked if the order that I put in was still coming and they couldn’t confirm that either. They just said to keep dropping by and see if it shows up. I’m not sure why that would be the suggestion, when they know we’re part way through the semester, but it was the most unhelpful, asinine response and now I’m behind on the readings in one of my courses because they’re completely incapable of providing the one service required of them. Don’t waste your time just order from Amazon because that’s what you’re going to end up doing anyways.

I know bookstores are normally more expensive but these books are extremely high even compared to purchasing the book directly from the publisher there can be over a $100 difference in pricing. Customer service is absolutely non-existent. When you call they do not answer and there is a message that tells you to do not leave a message on the voicemail, instead reach out to Ms. McDowell with any issues via email. I sent her an email in January that she never responded to for Spring semester. I ordered books August 3rd and it still says my order is "In-Process". One of the books is an e-book and it still has a status of not ready. The other is now saying it is backordered but there is no way to cancel the order online, via phone, or through email as Ms. McDowell hasn't responded to the various emails I have sent within the past 10 days. It does not help that I am a distant learner so I cannot go into the bookstore to reach a human. The bookstore really needs to do better.

People here are super nice, lines are crazy at the start of the semester (through no fault of their own), so do what you can to get things situated early.
