Best customer service experience I have had in a while: came in with a return, bought new items and Karen reminded me I had a coupon on my return receipt. She was also just overall pleasant.

We went in to check bed prices and compare them to Mattress Firm prices. Have a relative visiting and need to get a bed, like nowww lol. The beds I checked were awful. Just pushing down with my hand, I could feel the bed springs, and the top cover was so thin ? it would be cruel to let anyone sleep on them. ? THE PRICES WERE HIGHER THAN Mattress Firm as well. We were so SHOCKED!Needless to say, we immediately drove back to Mattress Firm, where our mattress and frame were waiting for us to pay and go.We were in a hurry trying to beat the rain from tropical storm, so we did not look at anything else in the store.

I like Big Lots because I can find cheap items, but it's best to spend more money at a different store. I bought some face products there and they were expired. I didn't look when I was at the store because I assumed they sold fresh items. They messed my face up. It's itchy with a lot of pimples. My face was clear before.

The front cashiers here are so friendly and ready to help in every way. A special shout out to Karen, who went out of her way to make sure that we got our veteran discount and made sure I knew how to apply for the Easy leasing on the patio set.

I’ll be honest I gave Big Lots three chances. My wife and I first bought a bed after 6 months it breaks. We return it and get our money back. I thought maybe it’s a fluke. My wife and mom bought me a recliner which lasted a good bit of time. Now it won’t recline at all after a year and a half. Then we wanted to upgrade our couch and love seat this month to a sectional. We picked out the one we wanted. We loved it! I go pick it up 45min away from home. Get it home and the small section of the sectional is crushed on one side. I take it back to get a refund and the workers in the furniture section have no idea how to work the computer. They then mess up my return and refund and put the cash money I paid on my big lots credit card. They tell me they don’t know how to fix it. They tell me to call Big Lots corporate number. I call the number the next day and after sitting on the phone for an hour they tell me the store would have to process my refund. I then have to go back to the store to get my refund. The only two people who actually knew how to use the system and helped me greatly were the head store manager and assistant manager. They are the only reason this is getting two stars. They got me my refund. Thanks for that. I will never buy anything from Big Lots ever again! Three strikes and you are out!

I like this store...but the only problem is I find things I didn't know I needed and go waaaayyyy over my budget. But then, that isn't always bad....lol!

Additional review...curbside pickup is a lifesaver for me as I have mobility issues. I have only had very pleasant interactions when items are brought out to vehicle.It allows me to still do a few things for myself rather than asking someone else to do it.

I haven't been in this store in probably about a year. Well, I went right before Christmas and was pleasantly surprised at how much they've changed it around in there. It was very organized and you could find things much easier than you could before.

This place sucks. Very dirty place but all of Elizabeth City is dirty and trashy. But the people are very nice. You decide. No jobs for educated people. Very poor schools.
