We just had to surrender our boy Peanut (I just lost my job and he requires some vet care for allergies amongst other reasons) and the staff there made us feel understood and cared for when the day came. They took care of Peanut and made sure he had one of his toys with him when he went to a holding cage. They expressed sympathy and were very kind and helpful! I know my boy is in good hands. If you’re reading this, and are looking for a dog, he’s the sweetest boy! He loves cuddles, belly rubs, and walks around the block. If we could have kept him then we would have. For the staff that helped us with the process, I am forever grateful for your kindness <3EDIT: We think he’s been adopted! Thank you for the kind soul who took him in! I hope he brings you as much joy as he gave us!

Haven't heard back in regards to my 4 feral cats needing to be spayed and neutered for release since July 5. I've tried hard not to get upset because I worked here for almost three years before leaving in 2021. We've now had our second feral abort kittens and had to sit idle by tonight while one passed. I'm all for tnr but they will be returning outside not fixed because we don't have the time or funds to have four cats spayed and neutered. Please do something for ferals. This is not fair to them or their caretakers.

I went to adopt a kitten today. I had gotten prior approval after filling out their online application so I thought I would be good. However, after sitting with the cats awhile, telling them about my other animals at home and finally choosing a sweet kitten that obviously needs a better home than a crowded cage with 3 other kittens, I went to do the paperwork and was then told I need proof of my other animal’s rabies vaccines. This would have been awesome information to know about ahead of time. I obviously don’t have an issue showing my other animals are healthy but why couldn’t they have that info on the website, or tell people when they call on the phone or even have it on the door when you walk in so people’s time doesn’t get wasted (yours and mine). My vet’s office isn’t open on the weekend. Seems like poor planning on someone’s part and I hope for all the future pets needing good homes, that something changes. I will be going to another SPCA in the future.

Seems like a nice place to adopt a dog or cat. I was donating some cat food that my cat can no longer eat and I would've liked to adopt a kitten but my husband doesn't think our older cat wouldn't tolerate another kitty.

While the facility is nice and the staff is nice they don’t give clear direction. I live an hour away and received an application on Monday to adopt an 8 week old puppy on wends-day morning. So I made the hour trek, stopping to get literally everything I need. New dog beds, food, bowls, leashes etc. I get there and they ask where the rabies information is for our two cats. Well I don’t have it as I wasn’t told it was needed. They are 100% indoor cats mind you and especially afraid of going outside. We are unsure of what vet the previous owners took the cats to so they said that we had to get rabies shots for the cats before we can take ownership of the dog. Cool. We called around and the soonest they we can get in anywhere is March 24th. Roughly 16 days from now. I ask if we can pay for the dog now and pick up then, or due to travel time can we take dog today and fax over the rabies information once we get the shots retaken care of. Nope. So needless to say after I wasted 2 hours drive time, an hour at the pet store , and a quarter tank of premium fuel because they don’t go over what you need prior.

Adopted my fluffy furry one here and they were good with him. Got him neutered with no problem and will be going back for my other 2 boys that need to be done.

Very well run shelter! My granddaughter had plenty of kitties to choose from and found just the right kitty for her. If you're looking to adopt or foster a dog or cat, I highly recommend this shelter. They also welcome donations to help them provide great care for these precious animals!

The woman currently calling the shots at the shelter is absolutely destroying what it use to stand for. She is having animals euthanized that don't deserve to be, meaning in good health & adoptable. She's making NO effort to find rescues for dogs that can be placed in one. This isn't a shelter for animals anymore. We've adopted special needs case animals from here in the past & its sad to know some of our now family would have been put down under the current "leadership". Someone who actually cares about the animals & giving them a chance in life needs to take over because this woman is euthanasia happy & doesn't seem to actually care about the animals that come in.

They have lots of dogs available for adoption. Unfortunately there was others families looking at the dogs and not correcting their children from agitating and/or scaring the dogs. They have some older cats and several kittens. We have a full house of pets or I would have gone home with a kitten.
