I walked in with high recommendation to browse and or trade my 2013 ford escape for a newer vehicle, needless to say I was excited. I walked in and was handled by the newest member of hall auto, a terrible customer representative and quite rude in general aspect. In the end I needed a new vehicle and I got a gmc canyon. Downside it needed a new transmission because of an unreported issue from the last owner. This was more than 2 weeks ago, I have yet still been waiting for my new transmission to arrive after the first was broken in delivery and I wasn't notified about it, and the dealership had failed the customer to report new information regarding the matter. I've had to call numerous times and most have come without an answer. I do not recommend this dealership not only for its lack in part communication but for lack in the customer friendly representatives and service they should be showing. We as people are purchasers and therefore should be treated as family in that dealership and I can tell you now I didn't feel that at all. I will never come to this dealership again and anyone considering on going should save the time and look elsewhere to save your time, money, and dignity.

Wonderful friendly staff, very eager to help! Stephanie was amazing she walked me thru everything and even got me a better quote on my insurance thru their company that I will be switching to in the future! Would def recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new or used Toyota! So happy with my purchase!!

By far the best car-buying experience my partner and I’ve had! From the moment we walked in the door, we felt like old friends. We felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire process. Sherron spent the entire day with us and was so patient, kind, and considerate. He made every effort to ensure we were getting what we wanted and needed, and really worked with us. Such a change from what we’ve encountered before in this area when trying to purchase a vehicle and absolutely a breath of fresh air. I’m so glad we chose this place.Never once did we feel pressured, tension, like we were being talked down to, or like a salesman was waving a bat at the others to ward them off. Everyone treated each other, and us, with respect and kindness. It’s clear each person in this place genuinely cares - Sherron especially (and Chris!). At 8pm on a Saturday, both were there ensuring we had every last thing we needed, and every last question answered. At a time when we would all be wanting to kick our feet up, they were doing every last thing they could to help us before sending us off. Sherron was so polite and kind and we really can’t thank him enough.We were very well taken care of here, and Sherron continues to be of the most help he can. He is reliable and honest. We cannot recommend him enough if you’re searching for a new vehicle, and I already know we’ll be back here to purchase again in the future. And if you’re ever in Chris’ office, make sure to take a look at his photos - absolutely beautiful. Thank you for everything!

I had my vehicle in to check for a recall, and I fell like I made it clear that it was only in for that. In fact when they asked what other services I was having done I said just the recall, thank you. They advised me of time frame and I waited. Suddenly I get notifications that the multi point inspection is done and an advisor will be out shortly to discuss the workSo I walk to the counter and inquire on this as I did not ask for them to do anything aside from the recall. With a bit of an attitude I was told “ well it’s our policy to do the inspection on every vehicle that comes in. “I’d like to know why I wasn’t made aware of this when I checked the car in and told them it was only in with them for one thing, and declined to have them do anything additional.It’s not a good way to earn the trust of a customer when you go about something in an underhanded way.Update 8/22, I have had no contact from the dealership except the reply to my review and as a courtesy per their request I have left 3 voicemails over several days but still have heard nothing back?

Brad was excellent. Bought the truck on 5/15/23. As of now, June 29, 2023 I do not have my registration. My driver's license is being suspended because I am driving an unregistered truck. The back office at this dealership is disorganized and has gone dark on me. Beware. POST BUSINESS RESPONSE: Another week has passed. The response says GM Kris, the GM, is on the case. I received one call from him and he indicated he would call me back. Didn't happen. Car is now stored in a warehouse because seven weeks after purchase Hall Auto has still not provided the registration. My vehicle has been paid for but is not registered.

My husband and I recently had to purchase a vehicle while out of state. We called and talked with Starr who listened to our needs and reviewed inventory options with us. When we went to the dealership the next day, Starr greeted us and took her time going over the two options we were considering. She was professional (as was everyone else we encountered at the dealership) and did not push us for a decision. She was honest with us about the history of the used truck we were looking at and very forthcoming about the pricing of the new truck. The dealership gave us a fair price for our trade in as well. I can’t say that we will buy a vehicle there again as we live in Ohio, but I would encourage others to. Thanks for a great car buying experience in the middle of a stressful situation for us!

Excellent service, attention to detail, clear communication with the customer, and friendly staff. I was sent a video of what was done and needed to be done with the option to accept the work or not. I will be going back to Hall's with my prius.

In 2021 we purchased a Rav4 Hybrid Limited & a week later a Tacoma Limited....both were new. Having owned Toyotas before I knew I wanted a "Toyota Extended Warranty" & nothing else. After being assured it was a Toyota warranty we closed the deal......I should have looked better. I don't believe Fidelity Warranty Services Inc is Toyota. No gripes with Fidelity....they were professional & fine to deal with. Being deceived by the slicksters at Hall Toyota.....not so nice.This all came to light as they started pestering my wife & I about trading our vehicles in. I entertained the thought & asked them to call. The first salesperson called once....then texts & email. The second salesperson I asked in person to call me & never heard anything. Too bad.....We've now purchased 2 new Toyotas from Priority Toyota in Chesapeake. $100,000 of sales lost by Hall Toyota. I know it's a longer trip to Chesapeake but it feels so good. Cancelled the remainder of the extended warranties too. Bet they'll love eating the chargeback from that :)

I recently embarked upon a 'quest' to locate a Toyota Tacoma with a manual transmission; my (otherwise) unrewarding search eventually led me - from my home in Baltimore - to Hall Toyota in Elizabeth City, NC. To my great fortune I connected with Stephanie, who spent weeks, numerous communications and endless hours scouring [her] resources to locate just the truck I wanted. Aided by another energetic Hall Toyota employee, Melanie, a two-month, high-energy search produced the truck I drove away with last night! Very pleasant and helpful staff in the dealership made the entire purchase experience most enjoyable and seamless. And so I journeyed, enthusiastically, from my home in Maryland to North Carolina for thepurchase. I will happily do so again! As an aside, "real" public transportation (aka train) stopped at Norfolk. Stephanie had a courtesy driver meet me at the Norfolk Marc Station and drive me the 50+ miles back to the dealership

Went in about a year ago for repair on my tundra. The service and mechanic showed me some problems with my truck. Told me I needed an open checkbook and repairs would start at 10,000 dollars . Needless to say I went somewhere else for work that was under a hundred dollars. Truck works just fine .

Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to buy in the Elizabeth City area. My saleslady, Starr Berger, made the whole process easy and painless. Her and the whole staff are professional and very knowledgeable, and customer service oriented. When it’s time to trade I’ll be back.

I emailed the service department to get a quote on some service repair for my 06 tacoma on 2/20/23. Got a quick automatic reply that someone will get back to me shortly. Today is 3/06/23 and still nothing. I emailed another toyota dealership the same day and got a estimated quote with in two hours, set up a appointment and got the work done on 2/27/23. This dealership might be great but I wouldn’t know because they never responded to my request. Update: Service Manager Joshua Parsons called me to apologize. He wasn’t sure how my email request got lost and would look into it. Since he called to follow up, I bumped my review up from one star to two stars. I may give them another chance in the future. If so, I’ll update my review based on their response and work performed.

The finance person, Shannon, made the whole paperwork process fast and easy. We moved to NC two years ago and have been using Hall’s Toyota in Elizabeth City for service on our Toyota Four Runner.
