When my girlfriend called in her refill she was told it would be ready the next day. 5 days later she was still getting the run around and no meds. This made her go into severe withdrawal to the point of needing to be hospitalized and missing three days of work. It is appaling to me that these people can call themselves pharmacist and even more shocking they have not found themselves in a courtroom. Do not trust these "medical professionals" with much more than allergy meds.

This is by far the worst pharmacy, not one competent person works there. I know they do not care about reviews cause they are not closing, or not like these reviews matter, but I have to tell my story. I have Cancer tring to get my pain meds filled( go figure Cancer hurts). They do not have the meds, i get it not the sotres fault, but they tell the insurance company they filled it when they did not, So I have to wait another month in pain while Walgreens denies they told the insurance company, but the insurance company has the walgreen employee who call it in on file. So they lie and deny a Cancer patient medication bunch of scum bags if you ask me wish that store would burn down.

This is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever interacted with. If you are looking for a pharmacy in Elizabeth City, go to Tarheel. Don’t call the Walgreens pharmacy number either, it links you to the main call center which clearly does not communicate well with the local EC Walgreens. You have to physically go into the store to do literally anything.I have attempted to transfer my prescription over from my regular pharmacy, which had my medication on back order, for the past week. Every time I have gone in they have said that they can get my medication, typically by the next day, and every time I come to pick it up they don’t even have my information in the system. I have had to explain multiple times that I am transferring the medication over, and every time they say they need to either contact my pharmacy or my doctor. When I come in the next day they say that they’re “still trying to get into contact with” whoever it may be. They have not contacted anyone to my knowledge, and I have even personally called my pharmacy to transfer over the medication two times, and Walgreens doesn’t even put it in their system. This is by far the most unorganized, unprofessional, and overall unpleasant pharmacy I have ever been to.Note: I don’t at all blame the employees, they were very nice throughout this process.

They called and said my medicine was ready. Drove 8 miles twice to pick it up only to find out it needed a pre authorization. I ask was I supposed to wait and she look at me like I had horns. This is the worst durg store ever. I even told her I had trouble hearing and she talked even lower. I hope when she gets to be a senior citizen people talk and treat her with more respect.

Wasted my time. My hot food got cold and my cold food went bad that I went and got during their wait time for medication to be filled. Would not give me the medication due to not getting all of it and medication that wasn't getting picked up was $500 out of pocket. Mother just left hospital same day after months of being in and undergoing several surgeries. Needed pain and nausia medication.

They say stuff is ready and it's not. Then there people in front are rude as hell. I call three times to make sure it was ready and drove an hour to have to sit here for over an hour. I can't stand coming here. The worst ever

Terrible customer service at the pharmacy. Told 45 minutes for a electronically transmitted prescription to show up in their system. Duplicate paper copy useless. Drove to CVS five minutes later and they show it was filled by Walgreens. Thanks to the kind woman at CVS, everything was handled quickly and professionally. Two words unheard of at Walgreens. And Walgreens - you can save the "have a blessed day" for people who go to your church.

Short staffed, always crowded, outside service line even worse if that's possible.

Don’t know how to answer a phone nor do they put in the correct information when it comes to filling a prescription. It’s ALWAYS something wrong when we go to pick up prescriptions! Ridiculous. Get yourselves together.

The pharmacy staff is very inefficient. I get that it's busy but the issues are very significant. They'll lose your scripts and "lose" your meds, which ends up with several people looking for your already done meds for 10-15 min. This "does wonders" for the already long line. It happens almost every time I'm there, so not a rare occurrence. They'll somehow not put in meds you're filling in person - even if they gave you a time you can pick them up! This will often take you an hour plus to find out, once you finally get to the front of the line, as it moves slower than molasses in January. Not a surprise, if you consider the first part of this review.I get that staffing is hard in these times but the inefficiency and similarities to a flock of head-less chickens (running around in circles) simply makes it worse. The staff is usually kind, which is why I gave 2 stars, but that doesn't help much when you're physically unable to stand in line for an hour, as the drive-thru is often closed. Plan on being there for a couple of hours, at least, if you're picking up anything. I'm fully intending on taking my business to Edenton instead, so I can get things done on time.I would invest in more quality employees, if they don't wanna end up worse than they already are! There are a few good ones but they're more of an exception than the standard. The pharmacy is nothing like it was, even a year ago. I really hope changes are coming because it can't get much worse!

If there was an option to give zero stars I would!! 2nd year in a row the photo lab did not print my Christmas card pictures OR bother to tell me. I called. Lady said machine was broke. I asked why didn't someone call me. Her response was....your on the waiting list to be called! She said I would be happy to cancel your order, or you can wait until we get machine fixed lol....it's Christmas pictures lady!!! I was very upset but told her it wasn't her fault but I would be talking to someone else to complain. I wish I would have got her name because her last words to me were F you. Never will I go there again for any reason at all

Just left Walgreens on Ehringhaus in the early afternoon. Picked up some batteries, and the sign said "buy one get one free" so I grabbed two packages. But when I went to the register, I got charged for both. Clerk said that it was probably an old sign that someone had not pulled down. That could be because the display was behind a screen that they pulled down to take pictures of people, so someone could have easily overlooked it. And a couple of weeks ago, my wife and I went to pick up a prescription a little after three o'clock. I pulled into the inside lane in the drive thru because there was only a couple of cars ahead of me. And I sat, and sat, and sat. Cars pulled up beside me and behind me. We sat in line for over two hours. Not a happy camper.

Absolutely the worst Walgreens in the world. Good luck waiting in line for 2 hr to get a prescription. Hello, CVS
