I'm already pretty fond of the people here, and the place also. The entrance is kind of toned down, none of the bright lights that would put my Ginger on alarm. She was rather calm when they took US back.

I've been coming to Animal Ark, way back when I had a duck the needed treatment, Dr Brenniger took care of our duck, and when I realized that he handled pretty much all species of animals, I haven't gone anywhere since. One of those places you hope to find and Lucky you did all in one. Thanks

Always the most attentive care! You can tell the staff really loves their patients! Our little buddy doesn't even get sad when we pull in the parking lot!!!

One receptionist was annoying but haven't seen her there lately. Upset last time I went asked for some help and ignored thankfully I called my back home vet and was able to get help

We have brought our rats a couple times to Dr. Brinegar, he's phenomenal and his techs are so friendly and patient! I love this place, it was very affordable as well for bringing 3 pocket pets. They are so friendly, they made us feel like family.

I was looking for a vet in the area after reading these reviews I don't know that I'll be going here simply because they've never addressed or replied to any of the negative reviews that they've received.. That just makes me question things.

Called to get some info on my pet that I had had with them a few years back. The person I spoke to seemed irritated and annoyed. Working at a vet clinic myself as a receptionist, I felt put off by the attitude I was given considering I know how I would have spoken to a customer had it been me.

Had taken my dogs to three veterinarians in the area. Animal Ark used to be head and shoulders above the rest. Since expansion and merging with another local vet (whose office was great), the level of service has really gone downhill. I'm not certain what happened, but we've decided to move on to a vet that's farther away and it's very disappointing. No, I'm not a paid reviewer.

I can’t say enough about Animal Ark and the quality of care they provide. My first interaction with them was in March 2023 for an emergency vet appointment for our extremely sick, elderly pit bull. Dr. Brinegar gave a thorough assessment and determined our boy had no quality of life. Dr. Brinegar and his wife were patient, kind, and sensitive to our emotions as we chose to euthanize our baby boy.We opted for aqua-mation for our boy’s remains and they came in a beautiful wooden box. We also received our boy’s nose and paw print on canvas, along with some of his fur in a small envelope.My experience earlier this year convinced me to bring my newest rescue dog to them for all of her needs: shots, spay, microchipping, etc. Everyone at Animal Ark is so kind and pleasant and I look forward to working with them for the years to come!

I cannot thank Animal Ark of Elkin enough for being so kind to my family and providing tremendous support for my family during a recent emergency involving our pet. Great people and staff and I would highly recommend Animal Ark of Elkin.

Never saw the Vet during our last visit. We waited for 30 minutes after the appointment time with only 1 person coming in to ask about records after the initial person took us to the room and asked a few questions. We arrived 20 minutes early during lunch break to fill out paperwork and be seen a little earlier if that was possible, but not a big deal if we couldn't. We were the only patients there at the time and I had another appointment after this one so I thought it would be ok, but after waiting as long as I could (again 30 minutes after appointment time) I knew there wasn't going to be enough time to see my kittens before I absolutely had to leave. The receptionist/ vet tech (I guess) responded rudely as of I did something wrong when I said we have to go. I didn't complain and didn't invest the energy into the situation I just had to leave. Unfortunately, this would be the second time I have had a bad experience at animal ark (the first one being really bad but I have a second chance) and I've only been there 3 times. I wish that the staff would have communicated with me so that if there was an issue involving the vet we could have rescheduled. I understand emergencies, but had I had one I would have had to reschedule. If I had showed up 30 minutes late I would have been turned away. These kinds of double standard are unprofessional and disrespectful.
