We have stayed at Ellerbee Springs campground twice in the past month and will be returning again at the end of April. Cannot say enough about the hospitality. Very accommodating to both early arrival and late check-in.Although we stayed at the campground, friends stayed at the Inn. The owners allowed the campers to meet those starting at the Inn and use the common space for dinner since the weather not the best for camping. The games and billiards were great for the teenaged kids.I didn't get as much opportunity to walk the property, but what little I did was beautiful. Really looking forward to going back and exploring more.Walkability: Nice wide tails, multiple creeks. Very relaxing.Noteworthy details: Camp sites are close together and not level. Be sure to pack leveling equipment. Full hook-up is a huge plus.

Thanks Jessie and Josh for your fantastic hospitality. Our stay was beautiful, peaceful and too short. The rooms were lovely and clean. The continental breakfast was perfect. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful country getaway, look no farther than Ellerbe Springs. We admire the hard work of the owners. They appear to be working very hard on the restoration of the property. As business owners ourselves we understand how much work taking care of a property involves. Thanks againNearby activities: They have a beautiful game room which includes a pool table and foosball table. There is also a room for chess and other games.

The place has charm and character, but needs a ton of updating and restoration. New owners are women and I salute them for taking on the challenge of rejuvenating this historical gem. My room was super comfy, clean and beautifully decorated. Grounds are lovely but need attention. Location is basically on the middle of nowhere, as Ellerbe is a tiny little town. But surrounding rural countryside is worth exploring.

We stopped here for a quick 1 night stay while traveling through. The staff was super friendly! Camp ground is up a hill but decent spots with nice hookups. We will definitely stay again!

*In reply to owner's comments. I do appreciate that someone was there for my LATE check-in - which I'd emailed AND called to say, more than once, that I would be arriving LATE. And if no one had been there, I couldn't have found the room in any case since there was no map showing that my room was on a 2nd floor landing which was DARK AS PITCH because the lights were not functioning! I would not have mentioned the dead bugs and mold had they NOT BEEN THERE. I am not the first reviewer who was expecting a bit more for a RESORT. -------- Original review: The place is funky, I know of no other way to describe it. I did not feel like I was staying at a 'resort', more like someone's old house who was letting out spare rooms. This establishment could really shine if it was fixed up a bit. The outside is very shabby, there is no ice to be had that I could find, no bottled water, you could make coffee with a Keurig but there were no lids for the cups around and no one to ask about anything unless you called. I know the new owners have only had it for a year but charging $130 for a night's stay is a bit high for the very few amenities - at least give your guests a bottle of water in the room and some way to get some ice. Also, more attention to cleaning the bathrooms, mine had dead bugs in the light fixture, mold growing in spots on the walls, every corner of the floor was black with grime. The door to the room has no safety catch on the inside and there were black fingerprints all over the white paint. The best thing about the place was the kitties running around out front!

Stayed at Ellerbe Springs to attend a local event. Affordable clean room, in a safe, quiet setting and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

This place is a hidden treasure. I really enjoyed the multiple walking trails and being able to fish in the catch and release lake. The room was beautifully decorated and took me back in time, while still offering modern amenities like the tv and mini fridge. The owners and staff were so kind and attentive. They are working on restoring the inn and tennis courts. As an avid tennis player I can’t wait to come back and enjoy tennis and pickle ball too! Whether you’re coming to vacation or just passing through you can’t find anywhere more peaceful or safe to rest your head and get out into nature. Will be coming back again soon!

What a gem of a find this was! Very clean, beautifully decorated rooms with old historical charming antiques, very friendly, accommodating staff and complimentary breakfast with an array of goodies. Not to mention the storybook setting. The new owners are restoring the exterior- cant wait to see the continued changes.

Very much enjoyed my overnight stay here. I checked in after midnight and the lady was so sweet, very neat historic old rooming house is what it looked like to me. Our room was very inviting for a great night's sleep. Didn't want to get up the next morning, but got up and went down stairs to breakfast. She had coffee and juice and cereal and breads. It's off the beaten path, but we'll worth it for a peaceful night's sleep

This Southern Bed and Breakfast was such a pleasant secluded surprise. The owner was lovely and made everything about my stay so easy. The building is very historic and old. But the rooms are newer and immaculate. The rooms are so beautifully decorated with giant old windows that look out on a pastoral scene. A family of sweet cats live outdoors for you to pet on the wrap-around porch, but inside no cats or cat hair. I have allergies but they were not triggered at all while I was there because it is mostly wood floors. My bed was extra comfortable and luxurious. Updated bathroom with a great hot shower. Many places to read a good book or play a board game or cards...there is even a pool table. I felt like I had escaped into another world that had an amazing story of its own.It was interesting and peaceful. The Inn with its pastoral grounds and spring are nowhere near the camp but I understand you can go with your RV too. They have a restaurant and tennis courts in the works which I can't wait to try on my next visit. Continental Breakfast and Netflix included!Noteworthy details: The water tasted good! No lime or rust stains as you see in some older secluded places. I felt safe which is important when traveling alone. I would definitely recommend it to anyone though! I heard they have hosted Murder Mystery Dinners and Weddings
