The historic Ellerbe Springs Inn first opened in 1906. Restoration is a work in progress so be prepared for a mix of old and new. We stayed in room 7 which was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Guest rooms are upstairs. There is no elevator or stair lift which means ADA accessibility is currently not possible. Each room has its own temperature control and private bathroom. The water pressure is good though it takes a few minutes for hot water to flow. Downstairs rooms include game room parlors with foosball and a pool table, and a large open dining room where continental breakfast is served (bagels, breads, cereals, fresh fruits, yogurt, juice, milk, water and Keurig hot beverages). A restaurant open for dinner some evenings is in a separate building on the property, a short walk from the inn. The mineral springs for which the resort is known are not currently accessible, though there is a catch and release fish pond. And there is an RV campground located a short drive from the inn, barely noticeable through the trees. When you book a reservation, be aware that the exterior of the inn needs fresh paint, and the worn carpet on the interior stairs needs to be removed, but the HVAC, electric, and water systems are all in good working order. The cats lounging around the porch and yard are friendly but cautious so give them ample time to approach you before offering scritches. And please also be patient with the family working very hard to improve the property. They have a lot of projects to tackle, which will take time and money to complete. They are off to a great start and we look forward to visiting again in a few months to see their progress.

If you are seeking refuge from the gray twilight of an upside down world, this is the place. It has antique mystique from circa 1875 and is rich in history and stories of olden days to the present moment. I convinced my husband to pursue staying at B&Bs because they mostly offer the warmth that generic hotels and motels lack. The owners of each B&B create their own brand and this particular B&B Inn is exceptional in customer service and southern hospitality which includes excellent Continental breakfast. The owners are warm, personable and very accommodating. They made us feel special! We made new, life friends with them and pray for their ongoing success! This 43 acre property has brief trails and a serene area to enjoy a picnic while observing pond wild life. The venue also has a cottage-like restaurant that offers good, American comfort food and wonderful service. This Inn is the quintessential piece of Americana that evokes what the American dream is about: "it is the belief that anyone, regardless of where they were born or what class they were born into, can attain their own version of success in a society in which upward mobility is possible for everyone."Highly recommend this B&B for those who are seeking the adventure called life!.

Wife and I just wanted a night away and chose Ellerbe. The new owners were so nice and each room has a theme. We plan on going back for the New Year's party. Every thing was clean and tidy. Not much in town to do. It died years ago when the bypass went in. Need to support small towns.

Thr RV park is a joke! I called and made reservations for a certain spot. I also called in advance to make sure the site reserved was level to which the woman said it was. She lied! When I got thete they switched my site to another that was so unleveled that I would have to put cinder blocks on the one side if the camper. When I asked why my original site was changed I was told that site doesn't exist. The other sites weren't much better, very uneven, and the sites are not like you see in the pictures taken by previous ppl that stayed there. It was very unkept, uneven ground, just a horrible! I've heard from locals that it changed hands awhile back so that's probably why its rundown. Anyways, they kept part of my money because I had to cancel due to them lying to me about the level grounds si they said it was my fault because I should of came and looked at the sites first before booking. I live in Michigan so that was impossible. They knew their campground isn't what they claim it to be and misleads ppl. I travel for my jon and in the 10 yrs of doing so this is the worst. Book at your own risk!

We really enjoyed our two night stay at the inn. Our room was beautiful and the king size bed very comfortable. It was nice to have a flat screen tv in our room. The internet service was great. The owners are super nice and helpful. There were multiple games to play in the game room. There is a pool table and huge tv with seating in another room. They serve a wonderful continental breakfast including yogurt, fruit, pumpkin bread, brownies, bagels, donuts, coffee/tea, juices, milk, and cereal. We will definitely be coming back!

This review pertains to the Ellerbe Springs RV park on the grounds of Ellerbe Springs Inn. This is a great small RV location off the beaten path. You must be self contained as there are no facilities, however the seclusion and grounds make it worth it. The owners are friendly and helpful. The grounds of Ellerbe Springs are rich in history and fun to explore. There are basic needs available in the town of Ellerbe or just a short trip to Pinehurst for any larger needs. There is no wifi at the RV park, however cell service is awesome due to the close proximity of a cell tower. Minimal road noise and a ton of wildlife in the area.

We had family traveling from Chicago to SC for a family reunion and decided to meet them in a convenient spot along the southern NC border. We found this place and they had 2 campsites side by side that worked out great. Mark, the owner, was VERY nice and bent over backwards for us to solve an issue with our electric smoker. Thanks to him we got it up and running to enjoy Thanksgiving turkey. We did not stay in the B&B but will definitely consider coming back. Nice little place to camp.
