Located on Leisure Lane adjacent to Town Hall (at 7500 Emerald Drive, directly across the street from Emerald Isle Realty). The Center is open: Monday - Fri: 8am-9pm from Labor Day to Memorial Day Monday - Fri: 8am-8pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day Saturdays: 9am-4pm Closed on Sundays. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult. -- Individuals or families who purchase a membership enjoy the use of the weight room, indoor gymnasium, tennis courts and discounted class rates. The membership fee schedule is based upon an individual's or family's taxpayer status; that is, whether or not the Town of Emerald Isle is the recipient of any tax dollars from said individual or family. Membership duration is based on the calendar year, beginning January 1st and expiring December 31st of each year; therefore, if you join in July, your membership will still expire on December 31st. Prorated rates are not available. Daily Pass (per person): $10 Weekly Pass (per person): $30 Monthly Membership (per person): $50 Individual Taxpayer Membership: $150 Family Taxpayer Membership: $200 Individual NON-Taxpayer Membership: $350 Family NON-Taxpayer Membership: $500 Annual Taxpayer Tennis Membership Only: $25 Annual Gymnasium Walker Membership: $25 -- Aerobics/Yoga Classes: Classes are taught by certified instructors. You can purchase a Day Membership Pass for $10 (per person) or a Weekly Membership Pass for $30 (per person). The Day/Weekly Membership Pass gets you access to the weight room, tennis courts, indoor gymnasium and discounted aerobics/yoga classes. Member Rates for Classes: Aerobics: (Tabata, Pilates, Pound® & Zumba®) $1 S.A.F.E. & Transitions: $2 Yoga & Gentle Yoga: $2 Yoga as Therapy: $5 Non-Member Rates for Classes: Aerobics: (Tabata, Pilates, Pound® & Zumba®) $5 S.A.F.E. & Transitions: $5 Yoga & Gentle Yoga: $7 Yoga as Therapy: $10 Individuals only interested in attending a class and not purchasing a membership to include the use of the weight room, tennis courts, indoor gymnasium can simply pay for each individual class. -- Exercise Room: A comfortable, wood-paneled room equipped with everything you need to get a great cardiovascular & resistance workout: 5 lower body resistance machines, 4 upper body resistance machines, 1000+ lbs. of free weights, a Smith machine, 6 treadmills, 4 elliptical cross-trainers, 3 stationary recumbent bikes, and a rowing machine, an inversion table, various sized Swiss (exercise) Balls, and Body Bars in a multitude of weights. Exercise room for ages 16 and up only. -- Indoor Gymnasium: A spacious indoor gym with a collegiate-size basketball court used for league and open-play basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, dodgeball, dance classes and much more. Indoor gymnasium maximum capacity is 1084 person. Rental rates for the indoor gymnasium are as follows: Non-profit groups $50 per hour (minimum 2 hours/maximum 4 hours). For profit groups can rent the gymnasium for $100 per hour (minimum 2 hours/maximum 4 hours). Rental rates for the lounge and conference room are as follows: Non-profit groups holding an annual membership pass to the community center free for two hours of use. Non-profit groups without an annual membership pass to the community center $25 per hour of use. For profit groups, regardless of membership status, $50 per hour of use.
