We had an absolutely superb three days at Bellamy and continue to be pulled back to Enfield and the surrounding area as a result. When we first arrived at Bellamy, we were in awe by the beauty and history of the home. Arriving was like coming home to family, a bustle of welcoming by the hosts and family dog. We immediately felt at home. The house is stunning and filled with beautiful antiques that allow you to feel the history around you. Coupled with the warmth of the hosts, you can truly relax and let go.While in Enfield, we visited untouched forests, saw the most beautiful cotton fields imaginable and had many engaging conversations with our lovely hosts. Our philosophy for this trip was to say "yes" to all recommendations given to us and we were not disappointed. It was a pleasant surprise that many of the restaurants we tried rivaled meals we have had in our many travels to NYC and Europe. We had the benefit of meeting many wonderful people in the small community of Enfield. It is a very meaningful experience to walk into a store and have the proprietor introduce themselves and ask your name. We felt honored to be welcomed into such as tight community in this way. Our hosts are leaders in the community, working on community revitalization and other volunteerism. In reference to other reviews expressing difficulty in reaching the hosts, this is likely due to the fact that they are actively hosting guests, working on the property, and serving their community - they cook all of the meals, mow the lawn, plant the flowers - all themselves! There is no secretary to answer the phone. I would highly encourage people looking for a meaningful human experience to make an effort to contact the hosts as you would a member of your family - you won't be disappointed for putting in the effort.I cannot recommend Bellamy enough.Come home to Enfield!Rooms: Lovely, clean, comfortable.Nearby activities: Many small towns near-by, lots of antique shops and restaurants within driving distance.Safety: We felt very safe in the area - no issues.Food & drinks: The hosts made incredible multi-course breakfasts each morning. There is a delicious authentic taco-stand walking distance for lunch.

Wayne and Suzann were wonderful hosts and made sure we didn’t want for anything. They cooked an excellent breakfast (so much food I didn’t need lunch). Rooms were lovely and clean. Didn’t get to try yoga or kayaking, but those are on our list for the next visit.

My wife and I have stayed at the Bellamy on four occasions - three on the way to the beach in NC and once on the way to Florida. Wayne and Suzann are simply two of the sweetest and most interesting people we have ever met during our journeys. The rooms are incredibly furnished with period pieces and the breakfasts are fantastic! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Their dog, Lafayette, always greets me with enthusiasm and big hugs! I can't think of a better place to stay while on the road. LOVE this place!!! Tom and Kathy Fitzpatrick

I had a fantastic experience at the Bellamy Manor & Gardens in North Carolina. If you are reading this, you need to book a room at this Bed and Breakfast. Fantastic hosts and delicious food!

We had our daughter’s wedding reception at Bellamy Manor on June 3rd. I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was. Suzann and Wayne made it a fabulous experience!
We were able to make it our own. The food they prepared for the girls while they were getting ready and for breakfast the morning after the wedding was delicious. Suzann even provided refreshments for us during the bridal photo session. They treat you like family. I HIGHLY recommend Bellamy Manor for an event or just a relaxing getaway.

Outstanding experience in accommodations. Cleanliness and comfort greet you the moment you step through the doors to Bellamy Manor. The gracious hospitality of the Hosts, Suzann and Wayne Anderson make you feel like your visiting old friends! And the breakfast is fit for Royalty!
Everything done to perfection.
Whether you're looking for a quiet weekend amongst the majestic magnolias or just rest from a weary day of traveling the I95 corridor heading South, THIS is where you want to be!
I will be back...?

Wow...I am appalled! If I could give 0 stars I would! I called all nearby hotels because we are driving from afar and I wanted to just try and see if they had a room available while we are on the road. They did not pick up then had the nerve to call me back and yell at me in a condescending manor for calling so late since this is a bed and breakfast and not a hotel. Well if it is so late then why would she take the time to call me back to yell? I have never ever been talked to like this from a business and if this is how they treat their potential guests I would suggest not to stay here since they clearly have no respect for guests.
