Hotel Engelhard is an old and dated, old school hotel with a wonderful porch and a country trust vibe, similar to a hunting or fishing lodge. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though nothing fancy. The staff is nice and responsive. The hotel has reliable wifi, though cell reception can be poor. The on-site pizza is good and affordable. A gas station across the street, owned by the same person, offers free coffee to guests. The owner is working to improve the place, and many guests would definitely stay there again.
