Awful store. Dirty floors, all u hear is whispers about credit cards and managers aren’t quiet about talking and gossiping about the other staff. The 2 girls that think they run this place immature. Its my 2 nd time here and never again. Be better and especially treat people different from you better and yes below the racist tones of this store are true… the upper manager should get on it…

Does everyone in Carter’s in Fayetteville NC get followed or just the black women? This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this but I thought it was certain employees No, even the black employees do it too. I honestly don’t know why I keep coming back here. I’ve noticed in the reviews that I’m not the only person who experiences this kind of treatment. It’s really sad.

Looking at past reviews just wow just wowwww! I experienced the same thing yesterday with the stereotype of black woman. The few times I have been in there I have witnessed them watching me or following me around but not watching the other customers who was non African American. It’s really sad and very ignorant that people think bc the color of your skin you steal. Just ridiculous. I work hard and I’m absolutely sure my salary is definitely higher than the employees store manager included! I have no reason to steal or the need to. I spend a lot of my money on my child and it’s crazy that we black women are treated like that and have to be uncomfortable when we come into your store. Shame on you, find another job if you’re gonna be biased and discriminating against people due to their race. Ignorance at its finest.

They have amazing employees who didn’t mind helping me the whole time I was there. They also have great deals in both girls and boys!!

The staff here were polite, and the store was well organized. I was able to find quite a bit of clothes for my kids, which was nice.

Absolutely love how cute the outfits for babies are but the prices are ridiculous! The clearance rack isn't even clearance either, i seen stuff over there marked down 1% and 2%. That's no deal.

The associate at the cash register assumed I was trying to steal a $5 toy. Being that it's one of the few infant stores in town, the same toy was in the diaper bag. This happened after I was excited to see if there were any other wooden toys or anything new that came in to the store.When I called tried to explain my experience to the manager on duty, she was dismissive, rude, and sounded annoyed. Issue was not resolved.Those two women who worked that day (11/6) need training on approaching things in a diplomatic and respectful way. Also, they must know and understand that not every woman of color is trying to steal. Please, stop following me around when I'm trying to shop in peace for my baby.There are and have been cases of microagressions towards people of color that have occured at this store. I hope the employees receive training on cultural awareness.

I’ve been shopping at this store for years but yesterday I felt so disrespected and uncomfortable. Yesterday an associate was falling and staring at my mom like we didn’t belong or was going to steal. We didn’t even have purses or bags to put anything in. There were more customers in the store but her & another associate kept following us or coming up to us constantly. Then when it was time to check out she came up there to check us out personally then walked away. I will no longer shop at this store, I will just shop online.
