Whatever you do, I suggest not using Carmen Serbio for your lending needs at this bank. I don’t like writing reviews like this however if I can save anyone from having the same experience I will! From the very beginning working with Carmen I should have trusted my gut. He seemed uninterested and not at all willing and determined to be on top of things to close this loan.He left me out of the loop several times, wouldn’t respond to emails or messages and seemed to be in meetings or out of the office constantly instead of clearly being able to help his clients. He couldn’t even answer simple questions that were important before making decisions when closing this loan. He talked to me condescending from the very beginning and made me feel stupid. This was a large loan that he would have been compensated for however I suppose that was not enough for him. After a lack of communication and the pressure to close things, I asked if I needed to speak with someone else about a question I had been trying to get answers. Carmen responds that he will no longer be able to meet my expectations and he wishes me luck in the future. So in other words he decides to drop me as a client right in the middle of the most important time! We had an offer on the table and he had all my information and documents and backs out of helping me. I’ve never been so upset and disappointed at a lack of professionalism and understanding! Seemed he was frustrated I wasn’t a member of the bank, which I had been working on switching and now NEVER will.If you need anyone to help you with anything at this bank Tina is your person. She helped me with so many things and was so kind and responsive..I never had any issues with her in fact she was just a delight all around and such a special person. She unfortunately wasn’t able to handle this loan.One conversation with a different lender at another bank and they answered SO many questions that Carmen wasn’t able to or just didn’t feel like doing so I’ve now switched in the middle of everything but it was 100% worth it!

Not a fan of the staff here. Misleading and unknowledgeable. Rates are also abysmal for savings accounts. You can go to a ton of different banks, including brick and mortar, and get something +3% right now.

This bank is the worst. They take forever to help to the point that you want to get up and leave. I recently had a situation I got paid and my check was short. I went to them and they couldn’t tell me what the issue was. They couldn’t even see the charge themselves. Later it posted on my online account that they charged me another fee of insufficient funds even tho I had money in my account. The lady then proceeds to say well we can’t refund it back. This is a constant occurrence which is why I would not recommend if you want your money to come up missing, charged for using your atm, and other stupid fees that they don’t tell you about.

highly recommend this place for home/investment loan. Mrs Tina cauwenberghs helped me out a lot. she took her time and explain everything. Great customer service.

I always prefer to do business locally when possible. First Citizens Bank is just that. Local North Carolina community bank. A side benefit is they have great loan options and interest rates. If you are a small business looking for a place to put your trust, First Community Bank is it. Talk with Tina the branch manager. She’ll take good care of you!

Met w Tina the branch manager for some business banking needs was very attentive to my needs and a pleasure to work with. I will be moving more of my banking needs over to first citizen bank and the main reason was the service I received.

The one thing First Citizens can lay claim to is consistently poor service to the customer. We have two business accounts with them and you will be treated like a non-human at 4 out of 5 branches you walk in. Had a horrible experience at Ramsey and came here to talk to Lynn at my spouses request...she further compounded it by making yet a new excuse for the girl at Ramsey...no ownership of the horrible way they treat clients.

I have been with this bank for more than 20 years. I have not had any major problems and any small error was always corrected quickly. It was usually my fault! What really makes doing business with this branch is the way they treat every customer with courtesy, respect, and personal attention.
