About The Salvation Army Shelter
The Salvation Army Shelter is an emergency shelter for families with children and single men. The environment is described as peaceful, welcoming, and helpful. The process to stay is straightforward for those without a serious record, beginning with a cot in a shared kitchen area before transitioning to a designated living area for women, men, or families. Residents are advised to be aware of their belongings. The staff is noted as being very helpful and supportive, providing residents with a roof and important opportunity services. These services include proper resources and assistance to help people find their own housing. A free lunch is served daily at 5:00 PM in an easy process where you give your name and age, get a plate, eat, and go. For those experiencing homelessness, many say this is the place to start.

I know that in the past the kitchen at the Pathway of Hope has been lacking. But in recent months, we have been working hard to make sure everyone has a complete and balanced healthy meal for our community. We love our community and will continue to provide much needed services

The salvation army has changed within these past few years, and the new cooks in the salvation army are amazing, The cooks Nicole an Shasaline are awesome! The food is no longer bare minimum, and everything is so much cleaner, Thank you to the amazing cooks and staff.
