By far my favorite vet! They are so kind and loving and not money hungry like others I’ve had(Brevard). Tonya is my favorite person there! Dr Beverly is my favorite vet she has done so much for my babies and the kindest person and vet I’ve ever met. I highly recommend this animal hospital. Now I know why they have such a long waiting list! I tell everyone I know to switch vets and animals r us is the best one!!!!

My heart was absolutely broken today. After a decade long relationship with Animals R Us rather than providing me with a 5-minute phone call with the vet, my animals were dismissed from the practice. Never once was I rude or out of line but I did request a call from my service provider. I didn’t want to argue with a technician or the office manager. I wanted to speak with the veterinarian. I have on many occasions called my MD and gotten a return call from them. As consumers (whether it be goods or services), we have the right to ask questions and get answers from the people qualified to give those answers. It’s not an outrageous request for owners to be involved in the care planning and decisions made regarding their animals’ health. Throughout our 11+ years as patients at Animals R Us, we’ve spent THOUSANDS of dollars on visits, exams, labs, medications, boarding and MULTIPLE surgeries, but when I questioned the necessity of VERY EXPENSIVE repeated bloodwork for a sick SENIOR dog that has almost exceeded his life expectancy, I was met with absolutely no understanding or compassion. The dog is sick and old, the medicine seems to be working well; his symptoms have appreciably improved. But they won’t continue to fill the (already expensive) prescription without adding an additional $400 every THREE MONTHS for bloodwork! Why can’t good judgment and common sense be applied? Why not trust the owner just a little bit to know about their animal. Why would I continue to pay for an expensive medicine if I didn’t think it was working? Why not make the dog’s last little bit of life better without having to bankrupt the owner? WHY NOT AT LEAST GIVE A CUSTOMER OF OVER 11 YEARS A CALL?!For those reading this review, if the practice replies with “we had this conversation before” please understand that it was NOT WITH THE VET! We were never afforded that. Only with the staff. If they dare say I was rude, KNOW THIS, it’s a bold face LIE! These are people I delt with regularly! I was in the office at least 2x a month picking up medications. I trusted them and depended on them to care for my animals, and I always treated them kindly. It’s unfortunate that they couldn’t do the same for me and my boys. My heart is truly broken. I had enormous respect for Dr. Hargus, loved the practice and was actually quite fond of many of the folks that work there, but they proved in the end to be absolutely heartless. If they’ll do this to me after 11 years, they’ll do it to anyone.

I am a long time customer. All 3 of my dogs grew up under the medical supervision and never been disappointed in the service my dogs received.

I’m VERY disappointed in how they ended our relationship. If we would have listened to them, we would have gotten our dog quarantined for 120 days in Hawaii. My wife and I have been using this vet since our puppy was 5 weeks old and we’ve been very loyal. We’ve even recommended them to a few people. I’ve been happy with them and their prices. We moved to Hawaii which has a 7-page check list of things that have to happen or the dog get quarantine for 120 days. This vet did her rabies shots and the antigen test. No problems thus far. Due to Hawaii’s restrictions, you have a 4-day window to get a health certificate, apply a flea and tick medication, book a plane ticket and mail all the stuff in. In addition, you have to mail in 2 signed rabies certificates with 7 very specific fields (manufacture, expiration date, interval, admitted date, etcetera). The signature cannot be photocopied. We contacted our vet asking for an appointment and they said they were booked out for a week. This was unfortunate for us, but understandable. We requested her documentation along with the signed rabies certificate. We found another vet to do the physical and health certificate in the timespan we needed. Animals R Us says not a problem, but doesn’t send us the files. I send a follow up email explaining what we need, and no response. I sent another email, no response. I call them again and am told we don’t need that information. We get another vet involved who knows what they are doing. Animals R Us sends them the records. The records are incomplete. My wife calls and asks for the information to be filled out. She is told no and we don’t need it. I call the department of quarantine who says I am correct and if we bring them those incomplete documents the dog will be quarantined for 120 days. My 7.5-month pregnant wife calls again and tells them we called the department and Animals R Us tells her the department is wrong. The freaking department is wrong about their own protocol. She tells them she is driving in because we are out of time at this point. She’s sitting in the lobby waiting for her turn as they are taking care of another customer. Then the receptionist starts talking smack about my WIFE! She raised her hand and stated, “Yeah, I’m that person we are talking about.” She still refuses to fill out the paperwork but my wife insists and they FINALLY gave in. 30 seconds later, we have what we needed. Adding insult to injury, they kept calling out dog a he (she is a she) and said we only started taking her there 2 years ago and can’t get any more records. The dog is 2 years old. As loyal customers, you think they would know the dog is 2 years old and is a female. In the end, this costed us an extra $500 in fees/penalties. All for 30 seconds of work…I highly recommend Ada Veterinary Hospital. They saved us.

I love Animals are us! The staff is kind and caring and extremely helpful. They have been very considerate and comforting when some of my animals have come to the end of their journey. When one of my animals needs urgent care, they do their best to work them in to be seen as soon as possible. Couldn't ask for more.

Our family has been coming here over 25 years with everything from teacup chihuahuas, to labs, to our current Maltese-Bichon. Exceptional care over the entire time from several different veterinarians. ?
