I brought a vehicle to Apple Tree Acura for a pre-purchase inspection. The team seemed to know their stuff and came across as trustworthy; and so given the technician's recommendation, I purchased that vehicle. Unfortunately, A family friend and shop owner of 20+ years later conducted an inspection only to find that the motor mounts were completely destroyed, the air inlet was more than 50% torn (also indicating the air filter should also be replaced), and the front passenger-side axle would likely soon need replacing, none of which was listed on pre-purchase inspection paperwork. I contacted the manager, Jack, to try to come to some sort of reasonable agreement. Instead, he immediately denied any and all responsibility, claiming that these issues were not relevant to driver safety. While that point may be arguable, I was told by two shop owners that any technician worth their salt would and should be able to quickly identify this just by driving the vehicle a short distance and taking a quick look under the hood. This means that I spent approximately $150 on a pre-purchase inspection that was neither thorough nor adequate. I discourage anyone from trusting Apple Tree Acura with their vehicle. This is a shame, too, as their customer service until this point was outstanding.

AVOID Apple Tree Acura as much as possible.I have Acura RLX, which I bought as Acura Certified vehicle. At the time of purchased it had 45K miles on it.Transmission started to make noise - not great. I tried to schedule a service with Apple Tree Acura for several days - I could not get through to the service department when I called 828-684-4400. I took my car to Ashville Honda & Acura Service. Within 2 hours they called me back and told that this is a known problem and Acura would repair it for free. They printed out a Service Bulletin 19-004 for me, which clearly states that this is covered by Acura for 80K miles/8 years. See second page:tsbsearch.com/Acura/19-0…I was able to call service department and left a message saying that I need to schedule a repair for a problem described in the Service Builletin 19-004.I get a call back from Acura. They told me that RLX are not covered by this TSB, I asked to check again - advisor found this TSB and told me that he needs VIN number to schedule a repair.I sent a text with VIN number, left a messages - did not hear from them.I tried to call 828-684-4400 - still could not get through to the service department.I decided to schedule a service online. That part of the site looked like something from late 90s - really bad design and usability.Anyway, left a note saying that I need a service for TSB 19-004 when I schedule a service online. My daughter took a car to the dealership at 11:00 am. Advisor called me saying that my car does not qualify for free repair.Initially, I was told that transmission fluid was never changed in this car.Well if this is true then someone who represents Acura should NOT mention this to me, since as I bough this car as Acura Certified pre-owned from an Acura dealer. If transmission fluid was never replaced then Acura could not sell it as Certified pre-owned. At the time of purchase I was told that the car is fully serviced, transmission fluid was replaced and replacement is due at 75K miles (I had 74.5K miles). Also, TSB specifically says that transmission fluid deteriorate prematurely and they have a software update to fix this issue. So the fact that transmission fluid is dirty would be expected, otherwise Acura would not issue this TSB.Then advisor told me that they cannot find any records that transmission fluild was replace. Then he told me that they are using their own software and he cannot find TSB 19-004 or my car does not qualify for it based on VIN.Anyway, they charge me $570 for repair.According to TSB repair should take 54 minutes and 4 quarts of Acura ATF DW-1, which $10-$12 per quart. Not a bad profit margin. They were not able to complete the service on the same. The car was ready early in the morning of the next day.I should mention that people at Acura were very polite, but not willing to owner Acura's warranty. So, if you have Acura/Honda and you live in Ashvielle do yourself a favor, take it to facebook.com/people/Ashe… for service. They know Hondas/Acuras. They treat customer well. They told me - go to Acura, they must fix the issue for free because it is still under warranty instead of just doing service and charging me for it.NEVER EVER go to Apple Tree Acura.

Purchased pre owned MDX. Car has been great. What makes it so easy to say that is the service department and particularly John Hamrick. Responsive, professional, personal, honest and a great experience, along with good outcomes. You can buy a car anywhere, but when you want transportation you want good service. Here you have it, talk to John Hamrick, you will see and feel it. Thanks

I wish it was easier to get parts from this location. Literally tried 9 times today to get in touch with the parts department only to be "transfered" and left on hold for 10 min to be hung up on. I tried going through sales and then a service advisor. What's the use in trying to get quality oem parts if your closest dealer isn't interested in customer support.

I honestly couldn't be more sad that I got taken by Apple Tree Acura. Basically, this dealership sold me a used MDX that stunk beyond tolerable. When you spend a months trying to sanitize the stench away, when you have to drive with windows down and your head stuck out the window, when you think back to How nice they were as sale time but thought it odd that you got no grace period to return the auto you're buying in case it's a lemon... Yeah, this was a l**** of a car purchase and I can only hope If you're reading this you Walk away If you have any doubt about what the Apple Tree sale team is selling you. Possibly the worst purchase of my lifetime. The only saving grace to bump up to two stars was a couple good guys in the repair shop. But keep it simple - save yourself the months of sadness Knowing you got taken - Walk Away from stinky Apple Tree for your next purchase.

The service department at Apple Tree Acura may be good - I'll never know though. They pick up the phone and hang it up right away when I try to call with with a question I need answered before I schedule an appointment.

Love Apple Tree Acura! Leased my MDX a little over 2 years ago and decided I would check in on possibly upgrading to the 2023. Reached out to Phillip Motes again and had another amazing experience working with him, his manager, and finance - they made everything so easy! So, if you need an Acura he is your go to! Ended up going with the new A-Spec with black trim and black and red interior. Beautiful vehicle, the pictures don't do it justice!

This review is for the service department. I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. It took longer than expected so I was in a hurry leaving. Afterwards, I realized that my air pressure hadn’t been corrected which has always been in the past when receiving this service. That got me wondering if the other things had been done. I have one wheel that is damaged so I know for sure which corner that wheel was at at time of service. It was untouched. I know for sure my tires did not get rotated and I was charged for that service. Of course now I have to wonder, are they even changing my oil? I will not be back!!

Called to inquire on a vehicle was told it was in stock (on the lot)I explained to them we would be driving over 2 hours to look at it and make sure it was really there and they said yes, when we arrived we were told that the boss took it home for the day, they did not even apologize or try to call anyone to make it right. Wasted our time and gas. Will never buy anything from them.Very bad experience.

Ultimately, we decided against going with Acura. However, we were very impressed with the staff. Phillip Motes is probably the sharpest person we have ever dealt with at any dealership. This is the sort of professional that you expect at a luxury brand (but often don't get).

I went to this dealership 20 years ago and tried to buy a Honda Accord. I had $10k cash I had saved while my husband was in Iraq they did not want to work with me because I had a power of Attorney and it was to much paperwork…… went to Vic Bailey In SC and bought a brand new Honda Accord. Today, I went back to Apple Tree Acura and tried to put the past in the past and give them another try. NOPE!!!! They had a car that was marked way to high and had no interest in working with me or even trying to show me a car that was cheaper. They wanted $5000 with my trade in that was + 3k positive. I left and went straight to Bradshaw Acura in Greenville, SC. Bought the exact same car for $7000 less no money down and a cheaper payment. They were nice and upfront. The difference is one place wants to sell cars and the other could careless unless they are making tons of money. Never will I try Apple Tree again……..

I drove all the way from Atlanta, bypassing 8 Acura dealerships closer to me to purchase my 2019 CPO RDX. Jamie & Carol were helpful in arranging a meeting and connecting me with Chris (The Greek!) who I spoke with on the phone prior to driving up. After 10 minutes on the phone, I instantly felt comfortable with Chris as he developed a quick rapport and inspired confidence in the dealership and their abilities to title the car in Georgia. After deciding I wanted to pursue this car, I did the finance paperwork online (super easy and fast -- Acura beat my 2.59% with Bank of America at 1.99%) and alerted them I would be driving up. They scheduled an appointment for me and upon arrival I met both Chris and Steve, and the car had already been washed, detailed and gassed up. I took it for a spin and was ready to sign papers. As I was buying a CPO, I didn't care to get the extended warranty, but Chris was able to offer me a deal I couldn't refuse, (I know I'll be thanking him down the road). Zane walked me through all of the paperwork and fun financing. Zane was also a fantastic representative of the dealership and Acura as he was thorough, attentive to my questions, and guided me through the process. Between Zane, The Greek (Chris) and Steve, as long as they work at Apple Tree, I will be a customer for life. I am blown away at what an easy experience it was and I know that I got a great deal, (seriously an incredible deal). I've walked away with a great car and I feel GOOD about my purchase (which whoever does?). Thanks Apple Tree for a great team and experience!
