This is a great place to get lunch! The outside seating is really nice, the food is high quality, and the prices very reasonable. Will definitely be coming back.

I have lived in the area for quite a while and never tried Baabals. I was excited about the opportunity to finally get lunch and ice cream there. The establishment has nice visual appeal. We had Chicago dog combos and ice cream. The food was good. The ice cream was good as well. The service was not what I would have expected. It appeared that one young lady was handling all the tables at the time and it was relatively busy. She was multitasking taking orders, scooping ice cream and delivering the food, etc. She did not seem to be very personable, possibly because she was so busy. She didn't ask if we needed anything else during the time we were eating and I had been out of drink for a time, basically eating most of my meal without any liquid to wash it down. This also made the ice cream experience less pleasurable. I also had a dirty spot on my glass that I noticed after I had drank most of it. I was able to scrub it off but took a little effort. Overall, I would return since the food was good, and I assume this was a one off experience given the number of solid reviews for Baabals.

Visiting Asheville and found this gem of a place! The ice cream was delicious and the owner was so very friendly! We sat on the porch swing and enjoyed the breeze for quite a while.

What a very lovely place to stop and grab an ice cream cone and sit on the big front porch and just enjoy your Ice cream and the cool breeze blown across the porch. Service is great and the ice cream is delicious! I highly recommend the chocolate rasberry truffle.

Fantastic little restaurant and ice cream shop. Beautiful decor and super friendly staffing.The menu is short and simple, but the atmosphere elevates the experience. The outdoor seating options are fantastic. Can't say enough good things about Baabals, and highly recommend it to everyone.

So glad we visited this ice cream shop! It has been on our list since we moved to fletcher in 2019. I don't know why we haven't gone before but we will def be going again. I had some sort of butter bourbon ice cream. It was the best!!!!

This place is absolutely awesome, the atmosphere is so relaxing, and they are very inviting. The staff is amazing, and folks, they have Grahm Central Station ice creme. Super awesome experience.

Whenever I go to the Asheville area I have to take my granddaughters to Baabals. This is a family owned business with excellent food, wonderful staff and a lovely setting. They also have a sweet consignment shop on the top floor. From the wrap around porch to the lovely decor and food, this is a must do when visiting the Asheville area.

We walked in here on mother's day and we were the only people in there. The lady behind the ice cream counter didn't even greet us. As we approached her she walks to the back to the kitchen and flat out ignored us. We stood there for a while and looked at the ice creams and waited for her to return. After a whille we walked through the house and looked to see if we could find someone to help us we found her. She seemed really annoyed as we asked her for a menu. She just replied with the family is out of town and there is no one in the kitchen and walked away. I also had to use the bathroom and man that sink was so nasty. The house itself is very cluttered and doesn't seem to be the cleanest. I wonder if the health department even goes there. BY THE WAY! THE GIRL WORKING THERE WAS NOT IN THE RESTROOM LIKE THE OWNER REPLIED. SHE WAS STANDING RIGH BEHIND THE ICE CREAM COUNTER WHEN WE WALKED IN, WE APPROACHED HER AND SHE IGNORED US AND WALKED AWAY.
