Klingspor's Woodworking Shop of Asheville is an undisputed resource and a highly-rated destination for woodworkers. It offers a great selection of tools, machinery, abrasives, finishes, and equipment for all types, from contractors to hobbyists. The inventory includes specialty carving and turning tools, hard-to-find lumber and wood blocks, a full line of table saws and band saws, and a large collection of abrasives and sanding products. The staff is consistently noted as helpful, friendly, and generous, providing honest answers. While the woodworking supplies are not inexpensive, the prices are considered great, especially for high-quality items like its highly effective silicone carbide sandpaper. The shop also features a community message board and bargain bins for wood and abrasives. It is a valued local alternative to big box stores.
