This is the place to go for quality furniture. Their inventory is massive. The level of quality is high which naturally causes steeper prices. The sales folks are highly knowledgeable but not pushy. We’ve looked at some of the other retail stores in Hendersonville, but seem to always go to Grindstaff to make our purchase.

Shopping at Grindstaff’s was such an elegant experience. The staff were all so sweet and very helpful. George was the name of the designer that assisted us and we were continually impressed by his knowledge and eye for detail. He assisted us in finding exactly what we were looking for. Grindstaff’s has everything for your interior design needs!

I purchased a Bernhardt cocktail table from Grindstaff at a very competitive price in mid November, 2020. Because of the holiday period for Thanksgiving and Christmas and the effect Covid had on companies like Bernhardt and the shipping industry the product was not available for shipping until late February/March 2021. The shipper West Express left me a voicemail message that the product was ready for delivery and that I needed to confirm that I would be available on the scheduled delivery date. I missed the voicemail that was left for me on a Thursday and didn't learn until Saturday that I needed to confirm the date. When I called on Monday to confirm, I was told that the truck headed for California had already left, and my table was not on it. The next truck headed my way was not for another 5 weeks. I was very unhappy about this, but it wasn't Grindstaff's fault, but rather the shipper. A two day advance voicemail is totally unacceptable, nor had there been an attempt to leave a second voicemail, an email, or a text. Five weeks later I received a call from West informing me the delivery date would be April 29 or 30 and asking for a confirmation that was acceptable.. I was also told I would receive notification of the specific day a week in advance which I did confirming an April 30 delivery date between 9:00 a.m. and noon. On April 30, the driver called to tell me delivery would be between 9:15 a.m. By 9:30 the product had been delivered, unwrapped, cleaned, and placed in the room. I paid West for the shipping with a Cashier Check. Five months from purchase to delivery. During that time I had called Grindstaff several times and was told the reason for the delay was Bernhardt, Covid, and West. All of which was true and beyond Grindstaff's control. For the last two days my wife and I get up in the morning, admire that table, and thank Grindstaff for incredible pricing.

I purchased a Bernhardt cocktail table from Grindstaff back in late November, 2020. I didn't receive it until the end of April, but an explanation is required. Apparently many of the Yelp reviewers who blamed Grindstaff about extended shipping times for their purchases, didn't understand why furniture orders can take up to six months. Let me explain. I purchased this table from Grindstaff because the price was significantly lower than the price I was quoted from a design company in Laguna Beach, CA near where I live. I placed the order a week before Thanksgiving. Bernhardt and other companies like them often close for at least a week. Then in December they shut down for 2-4 weeks which means the order could sit for close to 6 weeks assuming the product is in inventory. Keep in mind that furniture industry along with so many others was devastated by the Covid virus since so many of the products are manufactured in Asia. Once the product is in stock it is sent to a trucking company for delivery. In my situation the trucking company ships to California once a month. Because I failed to confirm that the shipping date was acceptable to me, I missed the first scheduled delivery. The next one headed to California was 6 weeks later. How could I expect Grindstaff to know the exact shipping date when so few companies were working and with reduced personnel. If I want to order a product made in Asia now in May, the lead time is up to nine months. Unless I am buying product from a national furniture company that maintains significant inventory, it's going to take a long time to get product. That's the way the furniture business works, and Covid is still a huge factor that affects product availability. I found the folks at Grindstaff to be very professional and cordial, and I am totally satisfied with the end result. I saved a significant amount of money on the product that I purchased, and I understand the reasons for the extended delivery time. I would have no hesitation to order from Grindstaff again. Finally regarding the company's policy of requiring a 50 percent deposit with the order and the balance when the product is ready to be shipped. In California, furniture dealers require that the full price be paid at the time the order is placed especially when purchasing from a high end manufacturer. That's the way it goes unless you're purchasing from a low end chain store.

Wow! What a furniture store! I was amazed at the selection. Doug, the store representative that greeted me, was kind and let me explore the store on my own. So any lovely pieces of furniture and home decor items. It is almost overwhelming. On a warm late summer afternoon, the a/c kept the temperature in the store pleasant. Social distancing was being practiced. Lots to see. I made my first visit today. Plan to go back again soon.

80,000 square feet of fine, exquisitely crafted furniture at very reasonable prices. The Staff is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. No pressure, you can roam to your heart's content. I particularly was enthralled with the wall art on display. A fixture in Forest City for over 7 decades...well worth the visit.
