PSA!!! DO NOT GET A STORAGE UNIT AT THIS FACILITY! Our door has been broken for almost 2 months, I’ve called over 30 times for this issue to be fixed and NEVER got any help!!!! They gave me a credit for January and told me someone would be there to fix it and they would call me to let me know so I could make sure it was properly locked up. NOONE CALLED, I go to check on it and EVERYTHING I HAD IS GONE. MY LOCK IS MISSING, The unit is TRASHED and Over $20,000 worth of furniture, all my children’s summer clothes along with mine and my husband’s are gone. I own a cleaning business and all of my equipment is gone, everything of value we had is gone!!!! And it has to be someone that has access bc the gate won’t open without your PIN number, I filed a police report and have filed a claim with my insurance but I’m going to have to pay a lawyer to sue them . The door should have been fixed as soon as I called 2 months ago & told them it was off track and was still accessible even with the lock on it. They’ve been horrible to deal with, no type of help or assistance at all. Just please don’t get a unit here! They’re extremely irresponsible and do not care anything ab their customers only the high monthly payments. Most terrible experience I’ve ever had in my life.And before he comes on my review saying there is no record of my name blah blah blah. ITS IN MY HUSBANDS NAME! TYREE BOYCE SO CHECK IT BEFORE YOU COME DEFENDING THIS RAT HOLE. Also. I DO PAY FOR INSURANCE EVERY SINGLE MONTH! Again, my unit being broken into is COMPLETELY ON THE FACILITY AS IVE CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES TO REPORT THE ISSUE WITH THE DOOR!!! There is no excuse for it to take almost 2 months for them to “fix” the unit door that still isn’t fixed! Now all of our belongings are gone due to the negligence of this facility and their “maintenance” employee.

I am not exaggerating when I say, this place is a rat hole. Do not rent a unit here. this place has no attendants it is remotely run. It is in the armpit of Forest city with what looks like a crack house right next-door to it. The place has trash all over the place and I would not recommend it. I have also met people who had their units broken into and all their contents stolen. Please do yourself a favor, and go somewhere else. there is a place called American storage nearby. That looks very secure and very clean. I forgot to mention that if you don’t take pictures of your unit and your unit number, when you are done, they will not close your account

I had gotten the unit in January/February of 2023. Sent in my home owners insurance and paid my bill on time every month online. A couple of months ago they raised the rate by just a couple of dollars. Not a big deal. The increase was to go into effect the first of September. I got my bill and there was a $13 charge for insurance. Suddenly they don't have my insurance info and when I send it again they say it's not what they need. They have the same declaration that they had in January of this year. Everything is current until November this year.Do NOT deal with these people. I've called and sent and they are still denying I have coverage with my insurance company. I've even contacted my insurance on the phone to make sure. Now I need to find another unit and move everything. Seriously, poor customer supportUPDATE. .... I was contacted by an admin from the company. They apologized and explained that an error had occured on their end. It was fixed to my satisfaction and I was impressed with the fact they wanted to take care of the situation so quickly. I did have an issue with the person I originally spoke with and was frustrated but in the end the problem was resolved to my satisfaction.

Update: I am contacting the insurance company. This is a huge step to doing right by your tenants and I appreciate the help. Thank youI am giving 2 stars because the new owners might be better that the prior but I have been a unit holder here for almost 3 years and just discovered that the mice here are much worse than I thought. I've lost EVERYTHING that wasn't metal!! They chewed through my plastic totes and destroyed EVERYTHING! I'm devastated.. why was I being charged for insurance if it doesn't cover damage! And no there was no food or snacks in the totes it was mostly my late grandmother's (the woman who raised me and my brother by herself) belongings! I would think twice or contact and discuss in full detail insurance and coverage before renting a unit here unless you don't care about your things. Like I said hopefully the new owners are better and will handle these facilities better.

Let's just say, it's inexpensive, easy access, but I'm gonna take things out, it's nasty as hell, because the local people are using his business as a trash dump, and he also has mice and roaches. I have left message after message maybe to clean it up and spray( exterminator). It's got potential, but he's in Florida and his business is in Forest City, it will never work. Sell it or clean it up
